Sachin is not ALWAYS correct
by Ravi Om on Mar 24, 2009 02:24 PM  | Hide replies

To say that he is a part of a exciting team is probably correct but to say that he enjoyed playing with this lot much more than the earlier ones is probably not true. And more so by giving such statements is'nt he taking away the credibility of the earlier teams. What is more astonishing is that it is not a usual Tendulkar statement. He is known to be very polite and humble and never says extravagant things.
Secondly playing in the IPL is purely an individual's choice anyone wanting can opt out of the tournament but by not playing one is going to miss a few millions. Knowing this no one would probably opt out...isnt it.

what he means is " he finds taste of success satisfying" , which he couldn't get in earlier teams.

Just becos he is tendulkar it doesnt mean he isnt human. He still has emotions feelings and expressions which are not nessasaryly politicaly correct and would be made with everything in the right perspective. It is a fact that this team gives him immense comfort. After bearing burden for too long am sure he is enjoying it. I think that is what is coming out now. DOnt read too much from it.

Regional Bias

Mr.sunil PATIL Saheb...Atleast you should not talk about regional bias after all the issues of dragging north indians out of maharashatra..Sachin has equal craze here in bangalore as in Mumbai..And you made a statement kannadigas hate anything maharashtrian..I cant see a anything good to be jealous about.i think you are ignorant of many facts..Dont forget we have legends like KUMBLE from this state too to adore abpout.

I too support you. I never liked sachin. Of late only I came to know much about him from my nephews although watching cricket for the last 30 years. I think he is is best and most humble player. it is shame that I missed his prime time just becasue I did not like him at that time.
Lucky still that I could watch of late.

Trying to confuse inglorious times with exciting times
by Ashish Kumar on Mar 24, 2009 01:13 PM  | Hide replies

I do not understand what Sachin is trying to do. India has had the most inglorious exit in WC 2007 and humiliating defeat in the test series in Sri Lanka. How can he considers such times as exciting? It is amazing. Exciting times have started only after Dhoni has taken over. Perhaps Sachin is trying to undermine Dhoni.

India lost 19 finals in the ODIs under Ganguly. You will be shocked to know that Sachin's average in these matches is in single digit. This is not to undermine Sachin. Only to wake up the fans who tend to make a god out of their beloved player. Dhoni is no god nor is he infalliable. He is a sincere mortal who is down to earth and a team man.
