It may possible team India demands UK as preferred destination. But, I think so that, some players can't play last IPL due to age, injuries & fitness like Sachin Tendulkar. So, whether he is going to play despite of his age & fitness problems.

Get a feel of all the grounds there. We have the world cup 20 20 in England. It will be a good practice for all the players from India and as well as other countries.

what's wrong?

I don't know why all this hue and cry is being raised on IPL moving out of India. Govt can't provide security to the Elections and IPL together. Elections have to go on. IPL has to go on as well. If something happens during election, India's image suffers. If IPL doesn't happen after all the auctions, India's image suffers. BCCI offered alternate schedules, state govts didn't agree. They found an alternate solution. I don't see anything wrong with that. All of us look for security. If we don't feel secure at a place we move over to another one. whats wrong with that?

IPL to be shifted out of India
by anupam sinha on Mar 24, 2009 01:53 PM

Actual reason for this is that the govt is not ready to sacrifice their vote bank as when these so called politicans (the most dedicated people of India) give their speeches no one will be there to hear them instead people will like to relax n watch IPL, so they r giving this lame excuse. Moreover these people cannt save we Indians then how can we expect them to givethe cricketers the securities. SO its a shame on we people that we vote for such politicans who only know to fill there pocketes n dont care for the people.

now the govt. had accepted that it cant secure IPL event due to the elections....
just thing election and IPL are considered as national event....
but election is held at 5 stages but VIPs will do their work all over the country so securing them is a hectic task..

then IPL is a event that is gonna be followed nationally but gonna held in two locations at a given date that is , maximun of 4 teams will be active on a given day and other 4 will be at hotels some where other part of the country..

So actual requirement is 4 team of security for players at all time and two teams for secuyring ground that will be hodting the match.

Maximum of 6 teams of security is required if optimised by operation research 3 security teams can solve the purpose , which the goverment cannot provide..
i am getting into any conclusion or the post is not for making a conclusion
just think over it for whats the actual problem is?

Shame on a nation!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Mar 23, 2009 09:53 PM  | Hide replies

I cannot believe that a nation cannot protect its citizens and sportsmen at the sametime. More so, by the Congress party led state governments. Is England safe, with jihadi presence there? Or, is it the English bobbies can provide better security and the Scotland Yard better followup than their counterparts in India, where the corrupt police and CBI first look into their vested interests. Mumbai Meri Jaan was on our ZeeTV network, yesterday afternoon, and it left a sour taste. Even if the story was a work of fiction, but the narration of the story had many true to life facts. I am amazed that in its combative apparatus the BCCI went for ICL which completed its 2nd series successfully. Meanwhile, IPL is hunting for space in England and South Africa? I presume the promoters of this year's 20-20 tournament have 20-20 eyesight and see through the machinations of the State Governments where the police would be used to ensure that the voters vote for the Congress party or face the consequences. This is disturbing to say the least.
