If April 1 st is the cut off date, there is one more test to be playued out between India and NZ which begins tomorrow and ends on 30 th March..How can ICC have alrr4day announced the TEST winners without waiting for this game..
Well some of you may not like this but the reason for the low standing in 2008 is due to the losses Indian team suffered before Dhoni became captain. The defeats in test matches and ODI under the captainship of Kumble brought the tally down for India. I am glad BCCI chucked him out mid-series and appointed Dhoni the captain. The face saving excuse was the fitness concern for Kumble. Eventually he was asked to retire himself. The fortunes have turned ever since Dhoni took over.

Well nobody likes idiotic post. Everybody knows the past losses costed India 2nd place, but why blame Kumble for that? Along with Kumble, Ganguly also retired. So we blame Ganguly as well for those losses?
Lets wait for few more months and see how our team performs against SF and Aussies..

Well who is talking idiotic here? Was Ganguly the captain in 2008? Get your facts right, man! ... that is if you are a man.

Well you proved again that you're THE Moron. Your original comment was that iditoic that no one can figure out what's your point. 11 players make team and not just one Kumble.
By the way, India was on their way up when Kumble was captain.. Also to let you know the Aussie and SF were much better team that we played against under Kumble then NZ and England that we won against of lately. So don't get too excited yet baby and start pointing fingure at the greats..

Indian team suffered because of early defeats it is OK.But to critisise the great players like Kumble is not fair who gave India too much victories. keep in mind that Kumble was not kicked out by BCCI he decided to quit at his own will in between the series and it was a great decision by him which was in favour of Indian Team .What a great player Kumble was.Every body has to retire and every body sees down falls.

rajat, beware before you put anything here without relevence. otherwise, you get what you'd ask for, ok. got it.
One of the greatest players to have ever played the game, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar has been the greatest icon of World cricket for almost two decades now. Ever since his debut way back in 1989, he displayed exemplary skills when at the crease and was immediately hailed as the next genius. Sachin did not disappoint anyone and cruised his way into the record books with each knock. The mid-90s saw him peak and every opposition feared the Little Master. His batting is based on simple principles and he does not possess any trademark stroke, although the straight drive comes close. Tendulkar's triumph has been his ability to adapt to situations, surfaces, oppositions and emerging victorious. He can score all around the wicket, off both front foot and back, and has made runs in all parts of the world. Don Bradman had confessed to his wife that Tendulkar reminded him of himself and this perhaps speaks enough of the latter's greatness. With infinite records to his name, Sachin is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. Each time he comes to bat, he carries the expectation of millions of people with him and comes good more often than not which only reinforces the enormity of this genius.

...but now its time for him to retire, wobbly legs, failing eyesight, its time for sachin to sit back and relax, he wont, why?

points are calculated at the end of series, since ind nz series will not end by apr 1 hence no change in points will take place

Hey Ajay, dude then it is realy unfair to us if we win the 2nd TEST but dont be #2 just becasue points are added after series.
Logicallyit should calculated after every match OR cut-off date should check as of date who is highest. This is like 1942 technology which is pathetic

My friend dont worry ICC will take your point into consideration when Australia is in India's position :)
Its looks like some team is playing with a bunch of street beggars when playing Bangladesh in test. this Dalmia being a bengali, did a blunder by putting them in the test league, they wont win a test till bangladesh exist, so the ICC should review its stand and throw out Bangladesh, this is a shame for cricket, if Bangladesh then why not all the ICC affliated countries who are much better then these, bangis, atleast some players can break sachin's records of hundreds haaaaaaaaahaaaa
