Great words Shrikanth. We have this associative disorder. Who ever is successful, powerful immediately we try to associate with that person , he is called an Indian or forcibly associated with India although the person has cut all associations with India . Bobby Jindal is one good example. I don't know whether Danny Boyle will be called an Indian. Michel Clarke ws born in Bangalore, does he qualify to be an Indian?

I think if you are speaking about the skin, then Yes.
Is Bobby Jindal likes to be called himself an Indian? Do you call Ram Naresh Saravan, Chanderpaul or Deepak Patel Indian? No way. They have nothing to do with India, except for their skin.

What is the point of calling yourself Indian, when you hold A BRITISH PASSPORT and you give away your Indian passport and hold a British Passport. Difficult to understand the logic. When you hold a British Passport, you are british, when you hold an Indian passport, you are Indian. Thats that.
Wishing Professor Nathu Puri for his appointment as President in the English County Cricket Club and thus, becoming the first Indian to hold such a prestigious post. No doubt, during the last few years, Indians have been identified as one of the key leaders in the game of Cricket and the above success of Shri Puri is the perfect example of the same.

He is not Indian. He is a British Citizen, naturalized. Had he been an Indian citizen, you had reasons to celebrate.
Otherwise Italy should celebrate and feel proud of an Italian heading Indian Govt. Right?
Rediff seem to get it wrong once again - Does anyone else agrees that cricket was invented in England?? I suggest CRICKET WAS INVENTED IN INDIA and CRICKET MUST REMAIN AN INDIAN BIRTHRIGHT - Hands off our game England!!

Right. Cricket was born in India by the Britishers as a pleasure game. And except for West Indies, all Cricket playing nations(including India) were slaves of Britishers.
