Silly Reasoning from a Politician!
by Talisman on Mar 16, 2009 02:30 AM

Sports and politics don't mix well at all. The only reason these politicians are intereste din the game is, so they can milk its money and hold on to whatever power structure they can.

I hope the people of india defeat such morons in the elections. When we see people like Mayawati, whose source of power is caste based and BJP, who is struggling to find a leader that is worthwhile, it is sad state for the country.

Why is Naidu aligned with Mayawati? It is hard to fathom. Then we have congress that makes alliances with opportunistic people like KArunanidi. It is the hight of the shame.

People should effectively defeat these collective morons by sending no one with a majority. none of these morons deserve to be in power.

We need a sanitization and a secodn election that forces relatively good parties to realign themselves against these bad parties.

I don't understand what would be the harm if IPL is postponed to the dates after elections. The elections are already scheduled and one can easily predict the dates of period when they are going to fall. So, who the hell scheduled IPL with dates of elections? Had they not considered about elections while scheduling IPL matches? How irresponsible body is running IPL. Shame on BCCI.

WEll..Its a shame if you havent put enough thought into the post you have given. April May is the only window the ICC has allowed India to hold the IPL. There is lot of International Cricket scheduled other times of the year. A 1.5 month window is available only in April. And they obviously dint expect a security issue to pop up. Its mainly cos of the terrorists attacks in recent months. So i guess now u need to rethink ur post.

Pride or Shame
by murtaza bohra on Mar 15, 2009 09:51 PM

Any day, I feel pride for my country where it is taught to jump from lowest to highest in grace, dignity, honor etc. But the next day I feel ashamed of these so called graceful, dignified and honored people who put such money-making events like IPL prior to our constitutional and political decorum. Consequently, common people think politicians corrupt, selfish etc.

God bless my country and its people.

what a load of bullcrap. he also happens to head the delhi cricket. so in the same measure anything positive said by pawar will amount to the same by your logic, cos he holds the top job in bcci.

arun jaitley should keep away
by manish ashar on Mar 14, 2009 11:24 PM  | Hide replies

jaitley should keep away from this.

this money making venture of pawar and co. does not deserve to be given security at the cost of the country's own security.

the environment is too bad and this particular govt. is completely incapable of ensuring security and thats why they are pressurising the states

jaitley will only blacken his hands by supporti ng IPL at this stage

Security is not for IPL. It is for the international players who have signed up. You think Securiy would be an issue if players ranging from Sachin to Pietersen werent involved?
