Being an opener, If he can bat for the full 50 overs, even a 250 or 300 is possible from this blitzkrieg batsman not only in NZ, But any part of the world. Let's not forget that Brendon Mccullum has 150 in T20 game. Sehwag by all standards is way above Mccullum. Looking forward to see a 200 from his bat very soon.

50 /5 in 20 ovrs, the tale would be there as they hav gt 9 ht bats men to play and hit the cric ball so my dear...he will still play his natural game coz if he wouldnt be batting upto his natural strenght he will gt out...
we know sehwag is good at what he is doing right now but please god sake, stfu! See Saching, he did far more things in his career without speaking a word. Just learn things from him...

You are right! When these reporters come to him with questions and keep hounding him till he responds, he should just ignore them and not open his mouth. He needs to learn to sit like a dumb mute. Sachin never spoke at interviews. All that press and coverage about his comments and statements is all made up. Tussi great "analyst" ho!

You are wrong! Persons who perform well should speak so! because There were complaints of Indians who do not have guts in crunch situations. This person has the guts to hit the ball hardly even in the crunch situations. Those words resemble the words of Aussies - players' words. they play off the ground as well by words. Players like Indians dont have the guts to withstand it..but Viru is an exception. Even Sachin plays bad when the crunch situation comes.
Though India has won the ODI series, but the one thing that constantly bug me is why Pathan(Yusuf) is not bowled full quota of ten overs, inspite of the fact that Ishant and Praveen were conceding runs @ 7 and Pathan in five overs only conceded 14 runs and took a wicket.
It is not very clever of the captain and these issues however trivial they look in the wake of series win should be acknowledged and analysed. I also noticed another development, in the glory of wins Doni's poor wicket keeping eg messing up an easy stumping chance is over-shadowded.
In the fiercely competitive sport like cricket every aspect of the game is vital and the team exceling in every department can only replace Australia. Any laxity in any form can manifest with a serious malady very very soon.

brothe due to rain, the ball gets wet and not easy to grip the ball to turn it and being a slow on air ( spinners) opposition can easily hit the ball for boundaries.. so tht is the reason not to offer thm more overs after being successful in first 5 overs of him....thn his bowl stats might be like this: 5-0-50-2 ovrs-maiden-runs-wickets.
u can c how kiwis hit balls in the last 10 ovrs...almost 100 run in last 10 ovr. thn it could have been 130-150 in last ten...they also know how to play spin ball
Wasnt it Saeed Anwar of Pakistan who happens to have scored the highest number of runs in ODI. If I remember correctly On May 21, 1997 in Chennai, he scored 194 against India in an ODI match. This is the highest individual score by any batsman in the world and his record stands, almost a decade after he achieved it, although batsmen have come close to his score in recent years (most recently, Matthew Hayden of Australia made 181 not out against New Zealand). Indeed one of the cricket's greatest ever!!

Although Saeed Anwar's innings was a great one, one should not forget that he batted with a runner for a major part of his inning. Sachin and Hayden did not. Also, surely a Sehwag or Sachin could break his record. Hopefully very soon.
......It was the same Holi day when Sachin literally obliterated NZ attack of Danny Morrision, Pringle, Gavin Larsen and co. Danny who got a hat trick with beautiful in-swingers the previous game had to watch the same ones disappeared past him Hopefully Sehwag realizes he is the clone of Sachin and goes on to emulate him for next five years.
It takes time to build a reputation. The Aussies were not FEARED in 1999 as they were in 2001 even though they had won the world cup!
We need to keep this momentum going. Some times FEAR will win you games like it did for the Aussies in close games. We need to build that kind of a reputation. Hopefully in a couple of years our batsmen will strike FEAR in the hearts of the opposition.
We still need to DEVELOP our bowlers though. I do not see any of the present lot as striking doubt in the minds of opposition. Hopefully they will be MUCH better in a couple of years than they are right now!
