Great Aoustralins are back
by Swarup on Mar 12, 2009 05:47 PM

Ever resilient Australians have bounced back in style when every thingseems to have been lost.True Champions .S.Africa is a freak side with no great batting line up Dimny with rear guard action was resposible for SA s temporary ascedency. But for their bowling department they would be rated below India .I sincerely wish Indian team challenges the no 1 team in the world and it will be clash of titans

what about ODI rankings???
by D K on Mar 12, 2009 12:38 PM  | Hide replies

Does any body have an idea of what will happen to the ODI ranking in case Ind win the 5th ODI in NZ????

As of Now the points after yesterdays win stands at Ind 124, SA 125 and Aus 126. with SA and AUS not featuring in any more ODI's before 1st Apr.

Will IND move to No 1 in case they win the final ODI?

India will paly 2 matches before cut off date
by Rumi Patel on Mar 12, 2009 10:45 AM  | Hide replies

Incorrect reporting. India will infact feature in 2 tests before April 1 cutoff date & if we win even 1 test, we will become No. 2. Please update your records.

India playing two tests with NZ before April 1st
by Satya on Mar 11, 2009 11:42 PM  | Hide replies

India, who won't be featuring in a Test match before the April 1 cut-off date, have a chance to grab the number two position and get richer by $ 75,000

I dont understand what is this, where India is about to play two tests before April 1st 2009 before cutoff date. Can any one explain?

Their reporting/gk is weak what they mean to say is - The points are calculated at the end of the series and though 2 Tests will be played before April 1, one match will still remain to reflect the series results.

Wrng. Points are calculated after every test match. This is why they reported after 2nd test that Aus have regained No. 1 spot.

You are obsolutely right Rumi. India will play NZ i.e 2 tests before 1st April and we will retain the 2nd spot.

Hi Satya,

It means if South Africa lose the third test as well to Australia, India will jump to third position and if South Africa draw the test with Australia, India will be in joint second position with Aouth Africa.
