BCCI decision is good for Indian cricket
by maruthasalam subbian on Mar 31, 2009 07:40 PM

It is good that the IPL is moved out of India. Because of the following reasons, (1) Security for election will be at its best to tackle possible terror attack, (2) Huge money is involved in IPL, so nobody can cancel the matches just like that. Moreover, it is unfair to criticise the BCCI becos the tournament was fixed to Apr-May even before the election date was announced, (3) What is wrong if the matches are held in South Africa? All the team have sizeable number of foreign players, so IPL is not meant for Indian fans alone, (4) the terrorist cannot celebrate if IPL goes on as planned in South Africa. (5) Cricket matches are being played throughout a year around the world, so just take IPL in that way.
So just enjoy the matches and be happy.

IPL Security in India
by hasmukh gaglani on Mar 30, 2009 04:25 PM

I feel that security contract for entire IPL tournament could have been given to professional private security agencies and IPL could have been held in India without any difficulty.

Let's respect Nation's Priorities
by My View on Mar 27, 2009 01:57 AM

Let's respect Nations's Priorities, IPL is just business and a way of filling BCCI's coffers. Thanks to ICC that they have left just a month betwen April-May without cricket in their packed FTP, otherwise BCCI would have planned IPL every quarter to make their balance sheet rosy.

make voting compulsory
by krishna tripathi on Mar 25, 2009 01:07 PM

all those who will be out of India to make money on election day should have no right to the govt. infrastructure. further they will pull lacs of Indians. These ppl will go to wathc the thighs of cheer girls sacrificing their voting opportunity. Lalit modi and others should have postponed ipl in view of elections. now by moving out they have proved that they dont care a damn of Indian Parliamentary elections and hence the people of India...

Well done sir, You said the fact. And I wonder are they Indians ?... These Money makeing medias and Criket Board members and the players. Then the tournament names is IPL, Is this 'I' stands for India. let them change it and make I for Iternational . FOR us To conduct the Elections properly and peacefully is the first important thing and it is a must. Ignoring that and if they feel CRicket Business is important for them, then they are not for this Great nation but they may even try to sell India to make money. yesterday Icould see the media is celebrating the shift to SA . I feel sad for my country - my countires games also managed by cruel money makers.
