Its a pity that Sachin was born in this stupid country. He should have been born in a more deserving country like Australia or some. Atleast the Australians don't criticize their cricketeers even when they perform. Sachin has spoilt us to be honest --- remember the days when all that we used to pray was not to lose badly against all teams. this guy ( Sachin) comes along , singlehandedly pulls india from rock bottom to a cricket powerhouse, Inspires millions and electrifies everyone, inspires the budding cricketeers to scale new heights and what we give to him ?
GOD INDIA SUCKS ... we deserve to be treated as third class citizens in developed countries.

steve waugh,mathew hayden,d.martin,m.bevan etc etc

1st of all -- do realise that all these great aussie players always had great team mates to help them out . So pressure in Aussie team was much lower than Pressure to perform in indian team. Secondly Damien martyn wasn't a great batsmen in any form , neither was Bevan -- yeah he was good initially, but then being not out with a strike rate of 50 something in ODI is nothing to flaunt about.

u r having a poor cricket knowledge. go and cheak their profile... if the whole world is saying that bevan was the best finisher then no use of ur comment..

abhe ... where are you ? Bevan was the best finisher for most part of his career. His strike rate towards the end of his career was in the 50's . trust me , I am far superior to you when it comes to records

IF he was born in AUS,they wd have made him retire long time back.it is bcos on india hes been seen as a GOD and been playing crikcet for 20 years.yes hes undoubtedly the best batsmen

read mesaage above -- had tendy been in australia -- his avg would have been way over the top -- i bet his test avg would be in mid 60's and ODI avg in 50's. Secondly , hayden hadn't been performing very well in the past 2 years. Same with Steve Waugh- his performances were patchy towards the end of his career. Third -- a human will perform better if there is less pressure and expectations; So imagine tendulkar playing in a team that has great batsmen n bowlers and not have to contend with 10 players depending on him on field and a billion people depending on him off field
when we chase a score of around 350. this can be the norm in wc 2011 in subcontinent where flat pithces are common. in fact in lanka we floundered chaing 330 plus in last ODI.
batting is great fine..but bowling is weak link. that is why we lost wc 2003. in subcontinent flats pitches for wc 2011, even great line up cannot hide poor show of bowlers.

Every team bowlers will struggle in subcontinent. Like P.Siddle, M.Johnson who are doing great against SA but struggled in India.

johnson and siddle wd mature by the time WC arrives.johnson will be the future of AUS cricket.they tend to learn frm mistakes.the nxt tour to subcontinent they will b much much beter than wat they r right nw.

Bowling has always been the weak link . besides kapil dev and Anil Kumble name proven world class bowlers we have had in the past 20 years

so forget winning world cup. we need a good attack, just batting shall not bail out everytime. our fielding is also poor. dhoni dropped a sitter off munaf, yousuf dropped one.

DUDE BOWLERS WIN MATCHES -- not batsmen. A bowler can make 6 mistakes and get away with it . A batsman makes one mistake and he gets out. A good bowler is always better than a great batsman. IF you are facing a team with great bowlers-- may god save you.
Dhoni has a long long way to go and prove himself in tests b4 hes called one of the succesful indian captains.as of nw Ganguly is the most successful captain indian team had.theres lot of diff between gud captain and successful capatin.gud captian need nt be successful.Dhoni is a gud captain, ganguly was a successful capatin.if dhoni can prove himself for some more years,he can b in the list of successful captains
Re: Ganguly and dravid better captains in tests.dhoni in ODIssss
by ghost on Mar 09, 2009 11:17 AM
