This driver fellow is a terrorist and his brother was a terrorist and killed by Indian Army in Kashmir. Pakistan runs on Allah, Army and America and right now the Army and elements in it want to retake Pakistan and hence they are instigating and supporting the Jehadis from backhand.Add to this that the Jehadis are also angry with the establishment for turning against them and acting on their own blowing things up and hence the confusion. Allah was never with Pakistan and America is still funding Pakistan hoping that change will happen.
what type of security was it.just 5-10 policeman thats what their full tight security was.well i dont think any type of security would have worked.when their can be attack on benazir, musharraf, nawaz sharif then what these cricketers are.no security is safe in pakistan

will military rule work in Pakistan ? I think Pakistan now needs an iron-fisted dictator to tackle these extremists. I still cant believe these stupid 5000 or Talibanis can so easily beat an army of 1 million paki soldiers.

iron fisted dictators are mostly bad people - which means they are more likely to be part of the problem we see today than the solution. Public safety is nowadays becoming public's responsibility. Govt is problem not a friend any more.
He said, he stopped the bus in panic when the attack took place, so his plan was to vacate the bus or to run out of the bus. But everyone shouted to drive faster so he drove the bus very fast !

he saved them. you cant deny that. 6 players got bullets or shrapnel wounds - that is the closest to their death they could get
if he wanted to kill them, seeing the success of the attack - blood from necks and backs, he would have deserted and run.
But he did not.
He DID save their lives.
And as part of the cricket loving world, I would like to thank him for not letting the incident become a global disaster for cricket. We in the subcontinent have always been treated unfairly by western sides and umpires and mainly by the western media. It required Don Bradman to say that Sachin is so much like me, that forced many to grudgingly accept Sachin as a "great batsman".
Don isn't an idiot, right?
So also, the driver could have run away, but instead he saved their lives.
The driver needs to be rewarded fro his bravery. What I am afraid of is his security. Pakistan is a jungle. If anything more happens with any Pak cricketer, it will be a final blow for the country's sports economy. sports is the only thing the ordinary people of Pakistan survive on and if you remove that, Pak is gone.
WE CANNOT AFFORD AFGHANISTAN AND AFGHANISTAN NO.2 TO BE OUR NEIGHBOURS.
Would you rather go on the front to fight Pakis or sit and home write programs and articles?
If a war starts, it be permanent, and YOU, sitting cozily reading, will be called for compulsory military duty. All Israeli boys have to do 1-2 years military work before getting jobs.

Only if they had bullet proof glasses for the bus, the injuries could have been avoided. High time Pakistan considers this. Otherwise players travelling in busses are highly vulnerable targets.
I saw the photographs of the bus and it has a very wide front glasses. So anybody can see the driver in plane sight. I wonder how the terrorists miss him? I think he already knew the plot and played his role of saving the crickters. Note that the van driver of the umpires which was behind the players' bus was killed on the spot.

May be because he was in the front he could drive away? May be the terrorists did not know in which bus the cricketers are travelling?
