Pakistan is a dangerous place indeed
by sumith roul on Mar 05, 2009 02:54 PM

Their terror background might have helped them to duck and ultimately save their lives. In reality it is an accepted fact that terrorism has grown so much in Pakistan that one gets a feeling it is too late now.Footage shows these guys cooly taking a stroll and shooting at the bus.It is a miracle how the players and match officials got out alive. In a country where the President does not feel safe, then how can one expect ordinary citizens to feel safe. What is need to attack sportspersons is what I don't understand.I don't think this kind of attack would have anywhere else as security would have been high and roads leading to the stadium would have been cordoned off while the teams are travelling. That is the most simplest of procedures.

I seriously have suspision on to why the Pakistan players left 5 minutes later. They have not given proper answer to that.It is standard procedure for teams leaving together.Never have i heard of one team leaving early and the other team leaving late.Enough of witnesses have confirmed that their was no return fire from police. Why did'nt they leave together late? The police are in the dark about the terrorists is the biggest joke of the century. You have 12 guys who have shot international players and its police don't have a tiny clue about them.Luckily no player or match official died or things would have gotten out of hand.Terrorists have made one thing clear, no one is safe anywhere

Jaywardne you are foolish
by Prerak Patel on Mar 05, 2009 01:33 PM

You are really fool. You still not understand the perspective why other countries are not touring the Pakistan. As this is the country where their own prime minister, political leader are not safe then how you (Jayewardene) expect you are secure. I am not saying this as Indian but this is reality.

Jayawarderne is a liar
by Desi on Mar 04, 2009 08:48 PM  | Hide replies

I used to respect Jayawardene until now. Now he is nothing but a publicity seeking cricketer. Just look at his statements -- "We were not aware of security lapses. It's an unfortunate incident. In hindsight, this could have happened anywhere in the world,"

WHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD CAN SUCH A THING HAPPEN???????????????

Grow Up Jayawardene! Just do not shoot off your mouth like this!

by gaurav srivastav on Mar 04, 2009 07:09 PM  | Hide replies

If LTTE wanted to do this they could have done it better in Sri Lanka by killing Politicians.
I LTTE history I have never seen a attack on Players.

India is big and more prosperous than the surrounding countries but China is lot more powerful and with no ahimsa non sense. So all these tiny beggars are scared of them and will not wag their tail and china also will not touch them unless they have border dispute and they defy them.Where as with respect to India they are real chaanakyas and keep crying boogey man against India. I fact according to Rajneethi that is a smart approach. Keep shouting to the world that they are attacking me. Only India lacks all these raj neethi though Rah neethi was written by Chanakya.
