If Kiwi's are to put up the fight, they got do some thing about Veru factor. Either stop him or match him. He seems to be running away with the game all by himself leaving the Kiwi's helpless. Some one like Mcullum or Ryder got to play Sehwag way, 50 off 40 balls to make chance for the team. The most trusted and respected Bowler for Kiwis in Mills is beaten to pulp, one more assault he is on the bench

I feel Sehwag has rediscovered himself after being dropped in 2007. He has become more consistent and more aggressive in ODI's now. More aggressive ?? Really ?? Yes certainly. One might not agree looking at the way he is batting right now. There are no upper cuts, not too many wild slashes nor there are too many premeditated shots. But still his SR has touched 101 which was around 95-96 earlier. After his comeback he is striking at a SR of 120 maintaing an average over 45. In fact in 2008 he scored nearly the same amount of runs as Gambhir and Dhoni playing 10 matches lesser than them. That's the quality of this underrated, undervalued, underappreciated, underestimated genius. I am very happy for him and wish that he'll keep the good work going.
But, I also feel sorry for him for not getting the same credit compared to the likes of Dhoni's and Yuvraj in India. Never mind team man, you are more respected than others by the opposition players and coaches which matters the most in rating a player. Good luck.

Yaa. I agree with you. He may be underestimated by media...perhaps Dhoni having an edge at this point because he is captain, doing very well for India, also playing good cricket at the same point, Yuvraj is class player...but he knows how to be in lime light on the field and off the field by anyhow...but Sehwag lack here..ie..being in Media Glory...

well said venkatesh. though he may not get much media attention, what matters is he has a great fan club. I have always been a fan of sehwag since his first demolition of NZ back in 2002 or so. He doesn't waste time. Every opposition team has a priority 1 plan for Sehwag in mind and then for others. That's fact and has been spoken by captains every now and then. Look what he has done to Indian Test cricket. Its because of his aggressive batting, others are motivated and are playing for win. VIRU you are really great, and i can safely say next/equal to Vivian Richards.

Day-Night matches in NZ.....

Is batting first right choice in day-night matches in NZ?
Definitely dew plays a big role there. Vettori always wants to chase in day-night matches in NZ.

You are wrong. Vettori told earlier that he would like to bat first,if he win the toss.

In the second session the ball becomes becuse 0f due, ball stops to swing after 15-20 over and even becomes difficult for spinners to ball with wet ball. Its good if the Teams have all the wickets in hand.
