ranatunga and his stupidity
by slash five on Mar 05, 2009 06:29 AM  | Hide replies

bcci is a monster true. but, ranatunga was more than eager to rub bcci the wrong way immediately. it was good that ranatunga was sacked, you cannot show petulant behavior when you are heading a national team.

the sri lankan government did the exact same mistake in their eagerness to snub india.

they both deserve to be put in the dock.

perfect comment @ perfect time..Sri-lankans believe that india is their enemy coz LTTE has strong hold there. It's ironical for this world, country which is true enemy perceived as a friend(United SA) but country which is true friend is perceived as an enemy.

Let us remove this animosity
by Saccha Congressi on Mar 05, 2009 05:57 AM  | Hide replies

India should stand by pakistan at this hour of their need. We are like brothers, we can live in separate houses but that cannot remove the ties of blood that we have. We should provide some financial assistance to the Lahore policemen who died fighting. Pakistan is also not doing financially well, keeping the blood ties in mind, we should give them a financial package of around 10billion dollars that they need. Let us put all animosity behind and build a friendship. Let us remove these borders that prevent people to people contact, that separate heart from a heart. Let pakistani youth come and study in our country where they will have opportunity to develop ties of friendship. We should have like 5% seats in educational institutes reserved for pakistani students. We should give them an opportunity to work in Infy, Wipro and host of all other companies. This will surely develop emotional, economical ties. A relief package for development of pakistani villages is also needed. Hope Manmohan Singhji takes some steps in this direction.

Yeah diphead- the best thing for everyone if all Congressi-twits like him would sell up and take their money to Pak and help create a heaven on earth there for their brothers (and sisters) in arms. More power to Kaangress- soon Zardari will be sitting on his throne in Delhi drinking tea proffered by his servant boy on bended kneees.

I have heard Ranatunga speak on TV in his atrocious English. Surely the article above is ghost-written or edited by an English Professor

Ranatunga Woke up
by Amit Tripathi on Mar 05, 2009 05:01 AM

When entire world refused to visit Pakistan, Ranatunga was laughing at the perhaps. Mr Ranatunga, pls start reading some newpapers. Its a good habit. And more over in you entire essay you never revealed that you have any idea of situation in pakistan. Rest of the world is not so fool sir. Whether you wanted to show teh world that Pakistan is a safe heaven and teh world in paranoid or you wanted to challenge teh might of BCCI , by sending your boys in Pakistan was not clear. If I remeber your foreign minister was not comfortable in sending your team to Pakistan but you thought you have a better idea. Sir, you had been a great cricket who lead his team and country for their maiden world cup victory and is admired all around teh world but you general knowledge of current affairs and geopolitics is not talked in teh same breath.
Moreover, now you are more morried about how BCCI and Indian Cricket board is goin to conduct the IPL as you are so concerned about the security situation in South Asia and its image. Sir, if had take a long nap, may be around 4 -5 months, then pls wake up and smell teh coffee with news paper in hand. England Cricket team returned to India right after teh Mumbai attack which was one of the worst terrorist attack in the history. So Sir, pls dont loose your sleep over the entire South Asia's security and its reputation.

Ranatunga to be blamed for the sri-lankan players' plight
by Fact Speaker on Mar 05, 2009 04:31 AM  | Hide replies

He was the first guy who immediately accepted the offer of playing in pakistan when India cancelled their tour in the aftermath of terrorist attack in Mumbai by a team of pakistani terrorists. The offer was accepted so much quickly that he even did not consult sri-lankan sport minister !!

Rather than showing solidarity with India which is the nearest neighbour of sri-lanka, this guy showed the solidarity with the other country which sent a team of the terrorists who killed more than 200 innocent people in India..

This guy must have felt really happy when the pakistani jihadis were killing innocent people of India..

It is amazing to see , inspite of being a Hindu himself he is so much against Hindus of India and supporter of pakistani muslims..

All the world knows that pakistan is a terrorist heaven and that was the reason that in last one and half year no team visited pakistan.

But just to show his anti-India attitude, this guy and srilankan govt put the lives of their players in danger and sent them to pakistan.

And, now what has happened today, it was just natural in the current circumstances of pakistan.

Even after all this happened, this guy is shameless and did not accepted his responsibility in making this tour happen ...
