Hell Hole that would scare the Devil himself
by Great Khali on Mar 03, 2009 02:20 PM

Pakistan is now a hell hole that even Satan would dare to enter only at his own risk. There is no parallel comparison in modern day history to match the 'total anarchy' that has descended upon Pakistan. Even the Third Umpire cannot be called on to adjudicate the benefit-of-doubt, because this is a case of clean-bowled. It's only the US, acting as the ICC, that is willing to wait, watch helplessly, and not conclude that the match has to be abandoned.

The Curious Case of Democracy in Pakistan is a movie that certainly has thrilling twists in the battle for power, but with a predictable but sorry ending. I guess, in the current scene, the balance of power has shifted once again to the Military; it's only a matter of months before Zardari, Gilani, and Quereshi are overthrown (assassinated, imprisoned, exiled?) from the halls of power by the Taliban-Al Qaeda consortium or the Military leadership.

The democracy that the International community expects in Pakistan was to be one of popular government. But when the elected leaders have blatantly gone back on their poll promises, it's time for dictatorship to take over. Zardari promised to bring back the judiciary, reform civil society, clamp down on terrorist groups, and work for the betterment of people. He's failed on all these fronts and needs to go. Perhaps, a permanent removal is the best way forward for Pakistan.

lesson to Srilanka and SAARC nations
by Pune Java on Mar 03, 2009 02:19 PM  | Hide replies

It is a lesson for Ceylon. They accepted Cricketing tour to Pakistan , just to checkmate both Indian and LTTE. Now their own nose is wounded badly.

ALL cricketing majors like Australia , England , RSA and INDIA , refused to play in Pakistan. Are they fool?.. and Srilanka is only such a wise that it accepted playing in Pakistan without giving second thought?

It is all because of Srilanka's Politics towards India and LTTE. As LTTE is loosing ground , Lanka might have thought to totally bulldoze New Delhi on Political front too , by touring Pakistan.

The only sigh of relief is no Lankan cricketer has hurt badly.

Lanka... wake up.. You have taught a lesson to all SAARC nations too

Sri Lanka toured Pak due to Arjuna Ranatunga, an idiot, who thought that he was mightier than BCCI. Foolish fellow, he doesnt know that BCCI can purchase Sri Lanka outright.

Dear Friend,
Why blame Islam for act of some stupid people. Shiv sena dug the cricket pitches are all Hindus to be blamed for that.

Let us raise above all this and address the real issue which is Pakistan the failed state. As the old saying goes YOU REAP AS YOU SOW. Its payback time for Pakis.

Islam and Muslims are not restricted to any borders and so it is out of discussion. I request you not to ignore the real issue of Pakistan being a threat to the world and not Islam or Muslims. This is the time when we must say we are proud of our Muslim brothers who have denounced Pakistan and its militant ways.

Set back for Pakistani Players.

The Terrorists are not attacking Foreigners, instead their own world Class players are on the attack. While other Countries are afraid of playing in Pakistan, Pakistani Players loose the chance of showing their calibre.

What caliber, give them guns and set them out as terrorists. All Pakis have Mullah mindset. When formal education is not accorded to people, this is what we get.

Terrorism is all over Pakistan
by Kumar MC on Mar 03, 2009 02:11 PM  | Hide replies

The Pakistan State Policy of Bleeding India with a Thousand Cuts is the root cause of all the problems in the Region. Unless the Pakistan State changes its strategic Doctrine and reconcile to the fact that India cannot be subdued by a thousand cuts we shall not have peace in South Asia. Pakistan is the fountain head of most of the international terrorism. The chickens have come to roost.

The only solution to this cancer is surgery.

Terror Acts
by T KRISHNAN on Mar 03, 2009 02:11 PM

It is Pak today; but once cricketers stop going to Pak, what will these gun-trotting terrorists do? They will go to places where cricket is played and spray the bullets. And, our country is not immune to such an act. It is another wake-up call for us. While we sympathise with Srilankan cricketers, we need to be more watchful in the years to come.
