So their coach Intikhab Alam said that they were saved because Younis Khan decided to not go along with the Sri Lankan team - which was the norm. They decided to go 5-10 minutes later. I am not saying that Younis & Co. knew what was going to happen - but it is very fishy - and very likely that they were told by someone to just go a bit later. You know like "Dont ask questions - just make sure you dont go with the Sri Lankan team like every day" And the completely preprosterous Paki govt claims the pathani-wearing, bag-carrying terrorists came from India! Does he even know that the whole world just laughs at such ludicrous claims! I mean everyone and their mothers (including the poor dead ones) know which nation is the "terrorism capital of the world".

And even if lets assume the terrorist were Indian why would they attach Sri Lankan Team. If I were them I would attach Pakistani team.

Paki's hav always been baffled as to to why nations tour India when terreo incidents of the same magnitude happen over here as well. well, wat they chose to 4get was that despite the attacks the Indian govt were able to provide top notch security to the tourin nations to ensure their safety and security where as Pak failed to even offer basic security to the players under such precarious situation. Hope this will stop them gettin pissed of at the money power and influence BCCI hav over the entire cricket world. Its not just that Indian govt is able to provide top notch security. The fundamental difference between Pakistan & India is that Pakistan is broken state - security is fragile and beyond the governments control. Their own departments and military forces are compromised to the extent that it is a The Land of the Lawless! I just hope the hands of Pakistani terrorism doesnt ruin India in the same way. However, I have a lot of faith in the people of India - we are a true democracy and if things get out hand - the people will rise. No such hope for the hopeless neighbour we have!

Read on Times of India that people in the Pakistani establishment are blaming "Indian hand" behind the attack. Atleast Zardari has done well to accept for the first time publicly that Pakistan has a problem and that they might lose places like Karachi and their northern territories to Taliban. The question is what should the US, in particular, Obama do? In my view, the first thing he needs to do is to somehow take full control of the nuclear arsenal of Pakistan. The terrorism threat is far deeper and greater than the Americans can ever imagine. There is no way India can control or rid the world of Pakistan's nuclear bombs but perhaps the US can.

the lankans might hav deemed it the time to pay back pak, or so i guess. during the 1996 world cup pak was the other nation along with India who stepped up to play in lanka when australia and another team, of which i 4got who, dropped out from playin in lankan soil citing the ltte activities. besides lankans face the problem at the minute in their country themselves.
