I've repeatedly written that windies should not be taken lightly. Gayle, Sarwan, Chanderpaul, Simmons, Morton, Bravo, Ramdin and Rampaul are potent combination. All they've to do is take the captaincy off Gayle's shoulder(let him operate freely), search (afterall WI are known as cricket players' producing machine) train and develop set of deadly fast bowlers in the caliber of Micheal (whispering death) Holding, Joel (big bird) Garner, Malcolm Marshall, Gilchrist, Patterson, Walsh, etc. with someone at the helm like Clive Lloyd to harness this force. You have the #1 team. Mark my words they'll do it, wait and see!

HI Narayan, Westindies team has some basic infrastructure problem. The Board is divided among themself and there is Quota system in the team.Most of the great players are from Antigua and Trinidad.But the team has to select the players irrespect of talent to the Quota. So they always have to pay the penalty for this Quota.Second, there is not basic infrastructure at the school and college level.Their Domestic Cricket is at stake due to less fund.At the time of Holding and Garner,tehre was not much facility in the Asian Continent.The Cricket was not like today.Now there is better facility even in Bangladesh.And you might be knowing there is a change in modern cricket.Only the sheer pace doent make much impact.The stress is on Fitness,planning and No doubt Talent(That is in all as they are the only 11 selected out of millions).So the team needs good money,professionalish,fitness,training and management.Look how even the IRELAND team is performing.As they have the infra and fitness with money.Also, there is major conflict among the players that was not at the time of legends like Garner,Loyad.We know the controversies between Lara and may players with Management.Since WesIndies is not a single country there management is not only responsible for the issues. Everyone wants a good Cricket.If WI be a strong team with consistancy,it'll be big gift for Cricket Lovers like u,me and many more...
