This joker thinks himself to be UPA Politician on excursion tour
by Raj rai on Jun 22, 2009 03:22 PM

Veeru forgot his roots.
Wonder what happened to "DOOD SHOOD PIYO" .He seems completely lost ,out of focus and drooling over money and goodies offered.
There was a time he used to compare himself with Tendulkar.ALAS he is not equivalent to even shit of Tendulakar.
Veeru ,out of greed forgot that style and respect is earned not bought over by buttering the BCCI officials. His game should speak for him not his excursions abroad with his wife on th cost of taxpayer's money.

T20 is a useless game and it should be stopped
by Sumit on Jun 20, 2009 02:22 PM  | Hide replies

T20 is not a game at all in Cricket. It is a bad shape in accordance with the cricket rules. If a batsman stands and one or two bowler bowled well, the opposite team will leads to a defeat. ODI is the real cricket and T20 is a useless game.. just to see few boundaries and sixes and without any talent show. It is made for hard hitters and this era of fast life and it hurt the good cricket image.

I wonder if you had the same perception last time around when India won the cup. At that time, they were all talented bunch of young players, now sour grapes.

who has got time to spend 1 day or 5 day watching cricket - tell me any other sports (which is relatively popular) and last more than 3-4 hrs? T20 is the best format for globalization of this dying sport cricket. Football, BasketBall, American football, rugby, tennis all of them are fast paced sport and cricket has to do the same if it wants to explore beyound british ruled colony countries.

Should IPL be held every 2 years
by mohammed quraishi on Jun 20, 2009 12:34 PM  | Hide replies

The recent shock of Indian team being eleminated from T20 WC before the Semi Final stage has drawn many controversies and initiated prolonged debates over what was the reason that led to India,s downfall so early in the tournament. many feel that the fatigue and tiredness due to IPL was the major factor and some corners even voiced their concerns to stop the IPl completely. I think IPL is a good tournament from the financial perspective as well as searching new talent for the future Indian teams . IPL should be held once in two years like T20 WC and not every year that would provide some rest to the Indian players who have been playing non stop cricket thanks to BCCI

IPL is Gobbledygook…
by Ricky Ponting on Jun 20, 2009 10:55 AM  | Hide replies

IPL is Gobbledygook…
It’s just making money and sight seeing for all the players...
Lalith Modi has made around 85.26 crores from IPL and has kept in Swiss bank.

Playing for the country is most important for any cricketer.

No idea why was IPL shaped?????

The consequence...

Mumbaikars were not happy with Yuvraj's Behavior.
Indian slapping a Indian (Bajji Vs Sreesanth)
Amplified rivalry b/n Bangalore and Madras.
No Localites in Team Chennai (Ridiculous) (only Balaji playing at times)
(Should be renamed as Team Non-Chennai)
Rift within the players of the own countries (Not good if they play together for the country)
Many International Players warming the benches including the legend Glenn McGrath.

Comon Gentlemen, Betray IPL and Play for the country and you ll be respected all over the world!!!!!

Balaji, badrinath, murali vijay, R. Aswin.. They are localities.. Muralidharan is a srilankan born tamil who played for csk.

Dinesh Karthik is a chennaite who played for delhi. Murali karthik is a chennaite who played for kolkatta. Chennai was everywhere in the IPL.

Sehwag is very Important!!!!!
by soma shekar on Jun 19, 2009 11:45 PM  | Hide replies

Viru is very very important you know,
He hits the ball with the bat very well.
He is also a good opening batsman, but only
difference with other opening batsman is he
opens soon and close(out) even sooner you know
and all the bowlers from other countries are
very afraid of sehwag because he doesnt give
bowlers a chance to bowl a lot of balls because
he gets out very soon and he hits the ball very
well. but he is good guy as soon as IPL starts
he will be ok, fit and fine and as soon as it
closes he will get sick because in IPL there
is lot of money you know but in national side
only he gets peanuts poor guy what he is going to do with the peanuts is he a squrrel to eat
it no he is an indian and a true indian!!!!!!
