MILKING THEM DRY
by GODAVARTI RAmesh on Jun 20, 2009 09:11 AM

BCCI is milking the players dry. Joker shukla says players should inform board if they are tired. With so much of competition, insecurity and money involved , young palyers cannot chose tournaments or series to play. Action has to be taken against ,Physio, secretary, and selectors who were all involved in sending an unfit team to a tournament as important as WC.

Two wrongs making it right!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Jun 19, 2009 09:46 PM

Rajiv Shukla is a Congress party spokesperson also, and he behaves like a politician. That is wrong, he should not be involved in sports, as he lack sportsman's spirit. If the physio commented on unfit players, why did he not do so before the players were selected. That is also wrong. Now, that 5 players were interested in making more money, as match fees, makes it right for them to play. Now that of the five three are in the squad to West Indies, only show how their performance will be. Too much cricket, just like anything else makes one lethargic and complascent.

Too much of anything is not good!
by Mukundan Menath on Jun 19, 2009 08:37 PM

It is very simple as that -- too much of anything is not good!. Too much commercialization, too much greed, too much showmanship.
Honestly, I think, people should not hype cricket this much. Enjoy other sports. Get back to the basics people!

Golkul Sharma -They are in denial about fatigue,ICC driving crazy
by D S on Jun 19, 2009 08:13 PM  | Hide replies

Golkul Sharma -They are in denial about fatigue and ICC driving crazy. This is because they don't want to rotate players because Dhoni and other players are scared that they will FIND SOMEONE better.

Selectors know Dhoni is now weaker position and now they will push their favorites onto him

I meant ICC is driving crazy with overzealous schedule, BCCI does not have a team B, they will run Dhoni dry.

Third Class Indian Cricket Management
by Gokul Sharma on Jun 19, 2009 05:15 PM

1). BCCI and Team Management are only busy in preparing a busy schedule of cricket for the year. They only want money and masti. Many Players are totally unfit for last some months. They are being continously included for the tournaments. Physio-therapist is regularly pointing to the management. They are not taking it seriously. The result is infront of the Indian public. A horrible perfomance in the field !!

2). BCCI and team management must take all resposibilities for India's poor show. An alternative team must be always available to replace the injured ones (even with smallest of the Injury), as it is a question of performance ; sharp fielding, accurate bowling and dynamic batting, which only can bring victory to any team, not like the present unfit Indian team.

Most Unprofessional Board
by GODAVARTI RAmesh on Jun 19, 2009 04:36 PM  | Hide replies

What else can one expect from BCCI which is a clumsy , commercial body full of Babus and scheming politicians. It is the only Sports board which does not have even a dedicated Website. Half the team was carrying injuries sustained due to non stop cricket. Players who are tired and injured cannot be expected to defend WC successfully. That is what has happened although board would like us to believe it is not so.

While all other teams are resting after the WC Indian team is proceeding to the West Indies straight from england for yet another series. BCCI is surely killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.
