Dhoni Match Fixer
by Manikandan VG on Jun 19, 2009 03:16 PM  | Hide replies

I think Dhoni is in the list of Azharhuddin, recent matches we lost due to Dhoni, If the openers gives the good start Dhoni is coming and reducing the runrate and if any pacers bowl well he is reducing the overs for that bowler so Selection Squad should make notice of this and need to make the changes.

This seems logical...Mr. Dhoni never asks Sehwag or Sachin to bowl even in ODIs instead he lets Yuvraj bowl. I don't consider Yuvraj any better than Sehwag in any sense except one.....drinking and partying and walking on ramps.

it seems dhoni has got a liking of ishant sharma though he was a complete failure in england in T20 matches. still dhoni continued with him and always utilized his 4 overs quota. Whereas best bowlers like RP Singh, and some others ( I do not remebmer the name)in the match against england. There ought to be some yardstick for selection process. I fail to understand what this skrikant is doing being at the helm of affairs - summing up selection process is tardy and best players are left out - instead of ishant, they could have selected Balaji and or sreesant - they are always aggressive and they know their game. Virat Kohli is better suited than badrinath and vijay. please ponder over this ticklish issue and do what is necessary before it is too late.

rp singh and others were under utilized (not completed the quota of 4 overs, though bowled well).... sorry for the lapse in my above message. I also would like dinesh karthik to be included in the team, because he is a fighter and how he played in IPL T20. He is left out

What you trying to say here----Harish
by abishek on Jun 19, 2009 01:17 PM  | Hide replies

Hai harish, this is the Team selection for ODI and player should perform in ODI matches. Look at Badrinath, Dinesh Karthik and Vijay who have a huge record in test and ODI matches for the last one year. Badri also one of the batsmans has taken most of the runs in the domestic matches. Dont compare with IPL performances where they didnt have good opportunities. Instead of Dhoni, if badri would have played all the matches for his batting order, he would have taken more runs than Dhoni. It has to accept eveyone as whenever he comes to one down or second down he has proved himself. So comapring with IPL is very poor as because we are not going to play t20. we are going to play ODI. Please stop it this type of non sense article. remember i am not from south but staying in south for last one year. thank you for ur article.

Why Pick on South?
by Chris on Jun 19, 2009 12:00 PM  | Hide replies

Sorry to see so many comments on selection of Tamil Nadu players like M.Vijay, Badrinath and Dinesh Kaarthik. They are all class players, Vijay has the temperament to succeed in WI as also Badri. Dinesh is a better WK than MSD, forget the times he has failed, which happens to all. So why pick on the South for this? Fact is these players deserve to be in the team. The selectors have a difficult job and it is to the credit of Srikkanth and his team that they have done a good job so far.

Instead of thinking regionalism, South North etc. we should wish the team well and allow them to perform.

that was happen in bangalore match where balls are not come to the direction. Dhoni has to say thanks to the karthik as because Dinesh has took the responsible for that. If dhoni or other indian keeper would have give more byes than karthik. Undersatnd the conditions....

Indeed, when it comes to criticism, Southies are GOOD but when you ask them where are you from....what do they say? I never heard any Southie saying Indian and then from kerala or Tamil Nadu, etc etc. Southies are most racist in India.

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. indian criketers xpect them to be superstars in india, then y shouldnt the fans xpect the team to actually win trophies??you can't have both, stardom and not getting results.if the team is winning then, they will be treated like gods, but if they are going to put performances like an ameture team, then they should get treated like crap, coz they are getting millions of money to be the best, indian cricketrz r getting the most money compared to any other criket team, so y shouldn they be the BEST??

by nitin PAPPA on Jun 19, 2009 06:07 AM

y is team india going back to a unsuccesful criekter. he is not in the international cricket league. stop goin back to som1 that is not the future. irfan, balaji, munaf, are crappy 3rd seamers.non of them have any pace or swing.p.kumar only good if the pith has some swing 1z the ball gets old he is useless.i no we all h8 sreesnth but right now i think he is better than all these guys, or find som1 better.that is our weak point a 3rd seamer hu can bowl line and lenght consistently.our criketers get paid most in the world, y shouldnt they play like the best in the world??
