He will play IPL!
by VASUDEVAN V on Jun 18, 2009 11:14 AM

You have one more IPL tournament immediately, doling out crores of rupees and Tendulkar will definitely play! Last year also, he did not play the first few matches in the IPL because of injury, then declared himself fit and played the rest of the matches. However, thereafter he withdrew from the official Indian team matches, citing injury! Money makes the mare go!!!

Sachin is better than souravs multiply 100 times
by Andy Louis on Jun 18, 2009 05:50 AM  | Hide replies

Sourav is a complete waste only rode his career in shadow of Sachins opening. When Jadeja or Prabhakar opened with Sachin even they looked supreme. Souravs career in tests was not so good because he couldn't hide in Sachin's Shadow there. Once Sachin was out with injury the real sourav was exposed since he couldn't get a senior partner in Sehwag and thus finished a shady and a controversial career. Sourav captaincy was nothing but pure luck as any team with Sachin Sehwag Yuvraj Laxman Srinath Kumble and Dravid in top form never needs captain like Sourav..Dhoni is a great captain and he has shown us that Sourav was nothing but a big talk less walk..

I do agree with u its true if sachin would have been in T20 world cup chances of getting into atleast in semis would have been increase.we still need him in all format of cricket despite of his injury or age & age doesnt matter at all has been seen by every Indain in IPL in the form of Gili,Sanath Jayasuriya, Anil Kumble, H.Gibbs, M.Muralidharan,Jack Kallis all performed well.Sachin is the legendary, well manner, respectable crickter India has ever got & I'm sure noone can replace his place.

BCCI's request to Sachin
by biswanath roy on Jun 17, 2009 11:24 PM  | Hide replies

sachin has opted out of the tour to the caribbeans, but the BCCI has requested sachin to go to the west indies for cheering & boosting the morale of the players which has taken a severe beating after our debacle in T20 w.cup.so sachin & his entire family will be going to the caribbeans with BCCI bearing their entire cost.this will be dr anjali, arjun & ms sara tendulkar's first visit to the caribbeans which includes such popular tourist spots like Bermuda & Bahamas.

Sachin has capability to buy the best properties in Bermuda and Bahamas and spend holidays there. He and his family have been to the most exotic locations in the world - far superior than Bermuda and Bahamas.

But Sachin like crores of people in this part of India does not boast, nor flaunts his life.

He makes sure, how-so-ever tall he may rise, his feet is always on the ground.

I respect such people.

Surprising.....
He is just playing his game and records are coming automatically...

I will give you a small example why sachin is so great...

Do you remember 2003 world cup finals? (Aus scores 359 runs and india failed to chase that score)
You may already know that before chasing captain used to take team meeting. But that day SACHIN was the man who took the team meeting and his game plan as below. Sachin words to team members:
Sachin: Can we score one 4 for each over?
Team: Yes
Sachin: So 50*4 = 200 and Chasing score 360. 360-200 = 160. So we can score 160 runs from 250 balls easily right?
Team: Yes ofcourse.
Sachin: But our big problem is McGrath. Some one needs to disturb McGrath els he will spoil our chase. So I am (sachin) going to handle McGrath.

Unfortunately sachin got out in first over of Mcgrath, but the way he motivated the team, his attitudes and his ideas are excellent.

Pls dont say SACHIN a burden. In personal life also he is very good citizen. Do you know he is sponsoring education, food and basic needs for 200 children.

from where you got this wonderful story. sachin has failed on most occasions in vital matches. anyway he is already 36, he needs rest to be there for the ODI World Cup 2011, being hosted here.

Hello Mr.Roy,
This is not a story. Look like u dont have enough knowledge abt cricket. Find 'Harsha bogle speech in IIT Ahmedabad'.

Why every cricketer saying SACHIN is their favourite cricketer...
Yes he is 36 but still playing better than others...

we saw sachin's form in the IPL matches had a strike rate of less than 100, whereas oldie hayden, gilchrist& youngsters raina, ross taylor had strike rates of over 130.good that sachin has opted out otherwise he would have slowed down our run rate in pursuit of his 43rd century.

FRIEND YOU HAVE TO TOLERATE HIM TILL THE ODI WORLD CUP 2011.THE FINAL IS DESTINED TO BE AT MUMBAI,MAYBE THE WAY DHONI'S LUCK IS GOING DOWNHILL, WE MAY SEE SACHIN AS INDIA's CAPTAIN. IT IS SACHIN's DREAM THAT IN HIS PLAYING YEARS INDIA SHOULD BE THE ODI WORLD CHAMPIONS, & HE WANTS TO HOLD THAT CUP ALOFT IN FRONT OF HIS HOME CROWD.AT LEAST BEAR HIM FOR TWO MORE YEARS.
