A true commentator is dat who express his idea without considering d status of d player nd he shud b fearless. He shud speak wat he feels irrespective of d records nd greatness of d players.Yeah there r some limitations but i dnt think he has crossed any limitations while commenting on sachin. He spoke wat he feels.
Sanjay is a good intelligent commentator. He was considered one of d best techniqal batsman wen he played for india. Now he is playing a great role as a commentator. He has a gr8 cricketing knowledge.
Mac personal opinions aside I really dont think this guy can speak well. I'd rather listen to Ravi Shastri than Sanjay. Ravi is very well spoken. I'm surprised you found him monotonous instead of the other way round. You should see clips of the India Australia series when the Symonds Harbhajan Incident ocurred. The passion and frankness with which he spoke cannot be matched by Sanjay any day

harsha tn....dnt u feel ravi shastri is a paid employee of sachin tendulkar?....dnt u reckon he is doin commentry 2 please sachin tendulkar....hav u ever heard ravi commenting on sachins mistake.....sanjay can call spade a spade...accept it
Although he wasn't greatest player around, Sanjay Manjrekar is definitely a good television commentator. Definitely better than monotonous Ravi Shastri or boring L. Sivaramakrishnan or Arun Lal.
Rediff must have rec'd the photographs from some people but we dont feel they are worthy enough to torture us the rediff bloggers. Frankly he is nobody as far as we know because he was a total flop Bombay player. DO WE REALLY NEED HIS PHOTOS TO REVIVE OUR SOUR MEMORIES ABOUT HIS GAME.
All the talk about "Sachin, is like a big elephant in the dressing room, he is an accumulator..blah ..blah..! I wonder why he is not giving the same kinda comment for Dhoni who cannot even accumulate but get stuck to his crease like his b@lls are tied to stumps.
And, the irony is Sanjay was a complete ball hogger in his playing days LOL
