Atleast after losing to West Indies, Ponting and Team Australia should have learnt a few things and rectified. Haddin should have opened with Warner to maximise the runs in the power play overs. Hussey brothers are both better equipped to build and phase their innings in this format and hence should have come in at No.4 and 5 after Ponting, with Clarke at 6 and Watson at 7. T20 is mostly about scoring runs and setting a challenging target, with fielding gaining prominence in the second innings and bowling being assisted by good fielding.
2. Discussions about Aussie supremacy in world cricket:
Many guys are writing off and saying so many things against Australia on the basis of their early exit from the most fickle form of cricket. Make no mistake, Ashes series in England is less than a month away, OZ will come out all blazing guns in the test series and their failing in T20 will be a forgotten thing (though that will be no logic!). After all, most of us have skewed and very short memory!

Ponting is one incompetent captain and that's proven here again. He was wining mainly because of few outstanding veterans in that team.. All ponting can do to his team now, is to teach them how to cheat, drink and abuse the law
The OZ given a sound thrashing by Lankans. They are no longer champions in cricket. They fumble in playing spin. Ponting is a miserable captain and gracefully exit from ODI and T20s. He cant match the youngsters in this format.

There is no such things of getting old in the game of cricket. Hayden is old but he was the leading run scorer in IPL and as well as in T20 world cup 2007. Kumble got many wickets and led the test RCB team to the finals. Gilly s old but scored was man of the series in IPL. T20 is a game where the winners cannot always win. Losers will not always lose.

aus don't have spinners, even i can bowl 4 overs spin from their side and give less runs than johnson and brett lee...

U fools, There is no link between loss, captaincy & young players. In fact Aus lost because they donot have old players like gilly, hyden,warne,symonds in team. If u call old players back even now, this team will thrash any team. same way dhobi is useless with strike rate of only 103 in T20. sachin is class ahead of him even in T-20. Its dhobi luck that few palyers were in good form & he won.Any captain is as good as his team. Don't overhype dhobi for nonthing. Comapring him with sachin is insult of cricket.Age is no bar in T-20.

Where as Sachin is a living legend Dhoni is a great captain. give Dhoni the credit for being really good as a team leader. His decision on the field helped us win more than once occasion but there will be days in the future where his decision will result in us loosing the match. But a good captain is one who is actually taking those decisions. Sachin himself opted out of T20 from the start as he said he cannot schedule himself into such a hectic calendar. That is what makes him a great professional, he understands his limitation of age and the effect of packed calendars on his body and his ability to play Captains win matches Deccan chargers under the captaincy of VVS and Adam Ghilcrist it is the same team last year it was in the bottom of the league and this year on the top so captains have a great role to play.
