Dutch and British invaded Sri Lanka and grabbed lands of Sinhalese fircibly as Sinhalese fought against British and were not willing to be slaves in their own lands and work under them in their estates. So British brought Tamil people from India to Sri Lanka as labourers to work in Tea estates in central Sri Lanka and in tobbaco cultivation in nothern Sri Lanka, Tamils did all the low level work for British. So when British people leave the country they were in a certain level of power than Sinhalese although it was not democratic. But later Sinhalese started to regain their rights. At that time Tamils understood that they can not continue to hold their abnormal status in the Country. So they started a seperatist movement. LTTE is one part of it. So international community should understand that Tamils accuese Sinhalese with false allegations under these circumstances.

You are talking rubbish!! Sri Lankans Tamil from north are living for few thousand years . According to independent history books it is uncertain who first put the step on the empty island! The Tamils who you are talking about are Poor Tamils from Tamil Nadu. Just like how Sinhalese work as guest labour , In middle east for Arabs ! So i fu want to live with us in peace, don’t frustrate us with talking bull shit about Tamils. And let the present genocide gov proof that we Tamil are equal!! Looks like the LTTE has been crushed only in SriLanka. There are so many of them in the Britain. Srilanka needs to be granted a Honourable World Cup for destroying the Criminal LTTE.
They never fought for the freedom of the Tamils. They killed thousands of Tamils fearing of their popularity.
1. Sri Lankan Army rescued 300,000 Tamil hostages, while Tamil Diaspora in UK supported the LTTE terrorists. 2. During Colonial days, British took poor Tamil laborers from India and placed them inhumane jobs in Malaysia, Singapore, and in Sri Lanka, where as now Tamils enjoy better representation in professional jobs and in government than the majority.

guest, if you do not know history, please do not try to mislead people. Tamils settled in eelam nation (which is now northern and eastern srilanka) long before the british even set foot there. the place originally belongs to them and in reality, they should be the ones governing the country.

stop dreaming about Eelam, try to unite as a one nation without racial barriers. That is good for everybody. Give the all Sri Lankans those who live in Sri Lanka respectable life. That can only achieve through fullest support of Sri Lankan living away from home.
Regarding the protest: Isn’t it stupid to show up 70 people for a protest. This is very small number compared the number of people who came to enjoy and support the game. Please try to separate politics from sport. Let our nation to enjoy at least cricket peacefully.
