Yes it is true and you should be ashamed of calling yourself a cricket fan if you don't know this.

Guys, relax. Some people are youngsters who may not have seen Gavaskar play, just like some who have not seen Poly Umrigar, Sardeasi et all play. Generation gaps must be respected.
Big cricketers have always played the nasty game of pulling down other seniors.
Gavaskar v/s Kapil Dev was an open secret of rivalry. Kapil Dev didn't want to play under Srikanth's capitancy and came up with a lame excuse of not feeling motivated to play one-day, but once Srikanth was taken off captaincy, Kapil continued playing. Kapil also blocked the way of TA Sekhar, as the latter was more promising & faster than Kapil.
Kapil also had problems with Azhar's captaincy.
Ganguly ensured sealing of Murali Karthik's fate.
Now its Dhoni. There is a saying: "No smoke emanates without fire" - it must be smouldering. As I asked, why hasn't Dhoni clarified about his rift or otherwise with Sehwag.
Dhoni has also started behaving in an autocratic way - atleast two matched in IPL, his team lost, because of his slow batting, as he promoted himself to No.3/4 to bolster his batting performance, when S Badrinath or Morkel could have played and got more runs than Dhoni did. He also got out at crucial stages, having already wasted balls.
Probably, his success has gone beyond his head and soon he will start his down hill journey, in this T20 Championship itself.
Time will give him a fitting & humiliating answer.

i too agree with Pulipakkam SrinivasaRaghavan 's comments about dhoni's batting in the recent years
he wants to be responsible batsman like the fat 4 of indian cricket
his defencive shot is ridiculous
he should be doing more of like sehwag and yusaf stuff

Dhoni has won more matches than he has lost, so I'd suggest you take your fake analysis some place else. History is going to judge him as India's Greatest Captain in every form of the game, just wait and see. The one match Sehwag had captained in the 2nd test down in New Zealand India almost went down to a humiliating defeat. The only difference between the teams was : yep you guessed it , MS Dhoni!!

Where r u getting yr facts? TA Sekhar was blocked by Kapil Dev? TA Sekhar was given enough chances but could not come good...like Yuvi's dad, Yograj Singh. Ganguly blocked Murali Kartik? No way, Kartik, too, had enough chances but didn't come good, like Sekhar. I think it's the same old South Indian bias that has crept in...and logic and facts have taken a beating. SSM

What about Azharuddin? There were a lot of others but these three were difficult to keep down. Then Kapil had his favorites too. Heck we all have favorites? Let the great man alone
