Gayle force

What an innings! Gayle played some fantastic strokes...I especially remember the one wherein he hit the ball past Brett Lee...the ball was past Lee (one of the fastest bowlers in the world) before he even completed his follow through!!! Poor Fletcher (who also played a wonderful knock), was desperate to get out of the way of that shot!
fabulous storkeplay from the West Indies!!!
keep it up!

Australia is losing a quality allrounder (symonds),who is dangerous in devastating batting, slow bowling and fielding.West Indies as we know can't play spin like asians do took an advantage in this game

Man of the Match
by abhishek chokhani on Jun 07, 2009 07:58 AM

Its just one man who turned the game to Carribians favour. Its always difficult for any team / individual bowler to stop such a form. Nobody likes losing but this blitzkering effort could beat any team and defend any total. So Gayle was rightly named Man of the Match... Heartly Cheers for him and tons of congratulations!!!

Aditya:

I was about to say "Its great to see someone praising good cricket rather than pass petty comments...", but then I came across your own petty comments....

Pray tell me how Gayle's superb innings will help Sri Lanka win against Australia?.... Clearly you are a bigger Australia hater than a cricket fan...

Useless Aussie players
by ganessin virappin on Jun 07, 2009 02:21 AM  | Hide replies

Micheal Clarke and Ricky Ponting are two useless players that Aussies have in their current team for T20 format. They should try some other players who can hit hard and score at brisk rate. Symonds absence was felt today.

For today's game, balling failed and not batting, Gayle massacared the overhyped OZ balling attack

I don't think Aussies batting succeeded. They should thank the West Indies fielders for reaching a competitive target. I don't think Aussies can think about winning with Ponting and Clark in T20.

Irrespective of the result of today's match and the form displayed by the two players, Ponting and Clarke, in 2008 as a whole, the twosome are indispensable to the present Australian dispensation in all forms of Cricket simply in terms of overall cricketing strength (yardsticks are not to be enumerated here) of an International player. That Symond's absence is more than a mere blow is quite evident.

By the time Ponting retires, Aussie cricket will lie deep buried. Remember Sydney Test and raised finger.

Din't know that being a number one test side and number two ODI side meant a burial for the cricket for that country.... I wish and pray for a similar burial for India anyday.... ;-)
