Horrible Media
by Prithvi Sriidhar on Jun 06, 2009 11:03 AM

If we lose even a single match in the tournament , all the hindi news channels will team up to spice up things. Instead of "Jai Ho" , they will break the news saying - "Hai Ho" or some crap. Zee News ,Aaj Tak,India TV, News 24 , Star News ..what r these kind of channels for ? It's a game...we r bound to lose some . We r not invincible obviously. There shud be a ban on such news channels which air some foolish crap ,instead of showing the point to point news.

perfect handling of media
by jikkyshah on Jun 06, 2009 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

I think Dhoni has taught us the way to handle our media, who are in the recent times interested in making a mountain out of a mole hill rather than reporting real news. Well done Dhoni!!! All the best for the upcoming season.

media just wants to sell news without even checking
Indian team consists of humans & there may & can be small misunderstanding between team memebers -
Dhoni I beleive is capable of solving that & does not need media to poke its nose

MEDIA HAS TO SUPPORT TEAM INDIA

This is the only Indian guy who can show what is Indian Irresponsible Electronic Media. He has that kind of guts. else everybody is " six "

Its time for Government of India to set guidelines for arrogant Indian media . We als the same kind of attitude during post MUmabi Terror Attack.

Indian Government doesn't have any guts to take any steps for media.

We Indian need to take step our own and teach media a lesson that they are not "god of India" They need to be disciplines and behave them selves...

Irresponsible media
by adarsh sukumaran on Jun 06, 2009 10:28 AM  | Hide replies

Dhoni did a wonderful job . The media people nowadays know only one thing to provide " BREAKING NEWS " by breaking the news into parts by putting ads in between. Now it has become our responsibility to verify the authencity of news. Team India should not bother about these things . Elephants are never afraid of street dogs .

there were so many posts in this rediff earlier as to how indian media should publish positive news about india, seems nothing has changed yet. A lot of this nuisance cause goes to indian govt. for not curbing the media and giving it so called free media

There was a time, when Politicians were the most hated creed in the country (not that they have improved any bit now), but in recent times, in the race to see who can stoop down the lowest, the media has beaten the politicians hollow. And this tight slap from Dhoni and co. has come completely as a bolt from the blue for them, as is evident from Nitin Naik's column in today's TOI(let). Bravo Team India!

Media and fans should not expect miracle to happen.
by samudra blr on Jun 06, 2009 07:34 AM

Team should perform to its potential and that should be the agenda.

Agenda is not for winning the tournament. One has to win and one has to lose in every match.

I am sure every player will perform to their maximum levels under Dhoni leadership. And Dhoni has that ability.
