"odds" mean chances of winning matches. A team that is strong or has better changes will have odds in their favour.

Dhoni leading the team is not unexpected. But how can even we think of idiots like you posting stupid comments here.
Guys I am great fan of cricket but after dhoni turned captain,, we all thought that we have got New captaincy who can turn the game,, but no this gentlemen doesn't understand the game of cricket. 1-He is quite cos he is got no inputs. 2- I mean look at the attitude he is got towards the other team mates. 3- Personal form god knows & many more
please elect a nice captain & take this srikant out of the board.

Dhoni is way better a captain than you are a cricket fan.He doesn't need the approval of armchair experts.

Every successful team needs a smart leader, and Dhoni has fit into that role with ease. He has balanced the demands of captainship/batsmanship/wicketkeepering and honed his own game in the process. Critics have argued that with Dhoni there's a certain amount of luck involved, but if its luck that helped India win the last CB Series, the inaugural World Twenty20 and bilateral ODI series over Sri Lanka (twice) and England, then don't expect it to run out anytime soon.
