This is a JOKE
by Khaled AlWaleed on Jun 03, 2009 07:56 PM  | Hide replies

This is a JOKE coming from Manoj Prabhakar who was hit all around the park by all the batsmen in his era.

He now gives suggestion to Ishant Sharma. I think that Ishant could give very good lecture to Prabhakar.

First of all a succesful coach need not be a world class player at his time. Second, Prabakar did well in his career. He was one of the allrounder India had at one point of time. Remember his slow ball when a 6 is hit in his over and next ball he takes a wicket.
Remember his off-cutter???

To be fair, Prabhakar did have his moments. He was just plain unfortunate to come across Jayasuriya in full flow in that series in Sri Lanka. And as for match fixing, by that logic you wouldn't have Shane Warne or Gibbs playing now, would you? Thats really double standards..

Former players making comments
by Amit Manikoth on Jun 03, 2009 06:07 PM  | Hide replies

Add to the list of not so great former players (not to mention involvement in fixing controversies) making comments on the present team just go get some part of the media limelight. Of what use was this article save to showcase what Prabhakar possibly dreamt up this morning?!

Why can't they make comments? More then half of the Rediff bloggers here make lot many comments then the players who actually played for India.

But I agree with you on Rediffs choice of articles.. it's been total rubbish with the articles and headline.. I enjoy reading Discussion board more then actual article on Rediff...
