BCCI is just playing politics and definetely has gone over board in trying to destroy ICL. BCCI has once again proving that the cricket i being played in the board rooms rather than on the fields. The players who have left ICL have shown that they do not have the back bone and have just have lust for money. Kapil has once again proved that he is man made of all that is good and a gentleman to the core.

I fully agree with Madhu. However, I am surprised as to why Kapildev did not approach the court for justice. It was a for development of the game cricket, the ICL started . Had BCCI really mean development of cricket,,they shouldnot have played such dirty tactics. On the contrary, they should have encouraged such leauges thereby,a large number of talents would have emerged. Its' really shame on BCCI From Paratharayil

All those who are now playing in the IPL should be thankful to ICXL for showing the way to BCCI .Just see the comperissions.Himanshu modi is the Brain behind ICL and so BCCI comes choses the criminal lalit mopdi to head the IPl.ICL put a cap on foreighn players so also IPl .just copycats.
our cricketers should get lesson from bhaichung. bhaichung is differnt. no cricketer including calcuttas own saurav has donated anything for cyclone effected people. who has given half of the money to his partner any way?
Let BCC do one public survey that ICL is doing good for cricket or bad.i am sure 99% will say yes doing good and ban by BCCi ,99% will say BCCI killing young tallent in cricket in india.india is having pop of 100crore only 15 has to represent india,it is very sad that one has to compete so toughly.where as thousands of politician represent whole country.is it not unfair.????????????
The money could attract only for sometime and never is a perennial solution. Good this(ICL) is over.
As we heard they(ICL) were almost on the verge of bankruptcy,(recall they haven't paid some players till now including Jason Gillespie who was in the news some time ago), let's savour some real actions of IPL rather than seeing an agglomeration of old retired folks.
I believe some of these guys after amnesty will have some future still left unlike real buddhas like Inzamam etc.

You have proved that you are a kid - still green behind the ears. Whom are you referring as "this" & "they"? ICL has been the pioneer of Twenty20 in India. IPL, though strong financially, is nothing but a copycat & is nothing but obscene display of money power. Lalit Modi has proved time & again that the criminal thoughts & actions has still not left him. Once a convict, always a convict. Their career is finished once they join BCCI. They will not be taken back in ICL & will not stand a chance in the auction in IPL against foreign & key players. I wish that IPL closes down forever & BCCI loses a lot of money & become beggars like Zimbabwe & Pakistan. Kapil paaji, I support ICL.

And you have proved that you are an idiot. Lalit Modi is just an organizer and he has done well. BCCI can only use money for cricket and they are also doing well. Competition is good but not when private players like Zee TV get a chance to lure cricketers. Soon you would have seen Kapil and company dancing on screen in the name of ICL if that had fetched more money. Or ICL shutting business if it doesn't make profit making business leaving players in lurch just what they have done now.

ICL is the Mother of T20 and IPL is the copycat of that.....We fully support ICL and Kapil Dev.... ICL should immediately file case against BCCI to stop its DADAGIRI......Long Live ICL....

While all other so called former great succumbed to the lure of money only Kapil stood tall among them.ICL has staged 2 succesful seasons despite lack of help from most quarters. They are real champs...not these copycat IPL...So Kapil Zindabad and IPL& BCCI murdabad..
This monopoly in indian cricket is disgusting. And Modi is basking under success of IPL when the concept is Subhash Chandra's and Kapil Dev's. They should certainly file suit against unfair trade practices.

Its all about the money for BCCI - they making unbelievable amounts of money from cricket. How many new stadiums have they built? How many coaching academies have they started? Have they taken cricket to the rural places? Have their accounts been audited by the govt./independent agencies?
