CEOs are normally eligible for about 3 to 5% of the profit generated.IPL having a brand value of 311.94 m USD he can take home or he is worth 16m USD or 75 crores of rupees.Any thing above 75c if he makes will be corruption. pay for the knowledge.

CEO is already corrupt. But will Sharad Pawar will allow him to make so much money? As such mr. pawar has left with no work after this election. After state election I think he will have to seat at home so he himself can become CEO
IPL has gripped the cricket mad nation like never before. I used to hate bcci for what it did to icl and unfair means to strangle icl. but at the end of the day icl itself did not promote itself properly.
icc also has become a largely white boys club, and serves it right to have the base shifted from england.

Whether ICL promoted itself properly or not is their business and financial concern. But the fact remains that BCCI with the help of ICC just played to the gallery of businessmen and stifled the growth of ICL. If BCCI genuinely cares for the growth of cricket, it should not bother abt who is running ICL. Any cricketer with great talent should not be banned from playing for the country just bcos he played for ICL. In any case ICL did not prevent its players from playing for the country. So is it not more of business rivalry rather that promotion of the sport..?

Right or wrong, when you get down in the ground to take on a strong, established monopoly, be prepared to accept you will have your limbs broken, maybe your back, and possibly your head. No monopoly/monopolist anywhere in the world has surrendered his monopoly, unless forced by market circumstances, or legislation. Zee entered this battle, perhaps, without thinking through to the consequences.
IPL has become such a hit that its threatening mainstream cricket. ICC can see itself on the losing side of cricket with its old ways. there's a strategic shift of weight from the lords to elsewhere.
long live cricket in england! cos its no longer the capital of cricket! hurray!

Having tasted blood (oops...money) and that too lots of it in SA, Mr. Modi is getting more greedy. I think, more than promoting cricket, he's more focused on projecting himself as messiah of cricket across the world and make his position stronger. Sadly, in all this tamasha and showmanship, the game cricket is loosing its pristine purity. Its all about money and more money for the cricketers, the sponsers, frachises and Board. Mr. Modi's idea of having IPL outside India is sheer madness and speaks of his penchant for money and self promotion.

true. modi is incredibly corrupt. but who isnt in that long list of bcci power brokers ?
sharad pawar, that incredible scumbag called rajeev shukla. bcci is made for and by politicians. we saw cricket diluted with the other set of scumbags - the bollywood queens and actors who danced in dawood's darbar, and take money from them freely to produce movies.
add to that mix businessmen! and you have a recipe for the worst manipulation of a game. ipl goes one up and stops an independant anti corruption unit. and surely icc was poking fun at modi by washing the dirty linen in public.
cricket in india is as ugly as it gets. modi and his ilk - the politicos, businessmen and the wrecthed bollywoodies... just made cricket as messy as it can get. if you want blame - dont blame one guy - its an entire system thats stinking there.

you have to understand the universal law of survival to understand about money.Give me the name of a single person who lives without food.In order to get food, one needs to earn. Some just earn for survival and some earn for other comforts. When the IPL players earn why are you so jealous? If you have that talent you can also join IPL anytime. Can you do that?

Is IPL a Indian Government game or tournament Program??? I dont belive so, this was a tournament organized by a private body they organize that and make money out of that, this was moved from India to SAfrica considering the certain circumstances.. due to general election and all... he actully made less money this time, if that was organized in India he might be 2 times richer... please think while posting a Thread...

Whats this all racous all about???Had it not been performance oriented than it certainly would not have been such an intense program, capturing the imaginations of so many. We always need to remember that IPL has presented opportunity that has enabled to elavate cricet in India from a one man show and buch of individual players to bunch of talented player with comptence, intensity and more so a penchant for playing for their team and not for themselves.
