Can any one tell me how this Franchise team selection is made. Not Team player. Why Chennai superkings team not there ?

Because the Champions/runner-ups of the respective National T20 competitions are eligible to play this competition. Its designed in such a way that first 3 teams from India(IPL), 2 from Australia, 2 From England, 2 from S.Africa & 1 each from NZ, Sri Lanka & West Indies would play this tournament.

The winners and runners up get selected automatically,whereas incase of Delhi Daredevils,they made the cut as they were league toppers.But from IPL 3,there would a playoff for the 3rd place.

Now this time hopefuuly congress would provide security to this event. Otherwise our country could loose income from such type of events.
