Different formats
by Narasimha on Jul 22, 2009 03:54 PM  | Hide replies

It is always better to have different captains and different players for three different formats . Earlier for 50-50 and test match most countries adopted similar selection system now because of greediness of the players they wanted to play for all the formats for the sake of money. Now all the cricketers are professionals they wanted to earn the money by playing and acting in ads.If they go for ad. they get some thing if they play one match they get some thing like that they are calculating even they are not fully fit also securing the berth in the team. India is vast country it is not difficult to find out players for three different formats. Selectors and BCCI should see that each player should get required amount of rest so that we can safeguard interest of the player as well as game also.

They are performing thats why they are getting ads. They deserve it.

Performance is not up to the standards just they are playing to keep the ads. in intact. We found so many caliber players in recently concluded IPL why they do not get chance to play. I am not against any player but my view is that they can opt for rest play remaining matches in full swing. With this youngsters also will get opportunity to represent the country. Simply players should not be greedy.Have you observed the face of Dhoni in recently concluded series of WI how dull he was looking most of the players were in the similar position. Instead of taking risk they can opt out or BCCI should provide compulsory rest to them. See the case of Sachin he opted out of the WI tour like that every player should think in the interest of their fitness and country's interest

Gambhir is number 1 batsman in ICC test ranking. Dhoni is number 1 batsman ICC ODI ranking. Yuvraj, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag all are playing well. Raina is briliiant in last 2 years.

As Gr8 Freddie taken retirement from Test.....
One of All Time Gr8 Adam Gilly had taken the retirement.....

Plz. Indians if your body not permitts to play for all formats, Make the way for Younsters... Though you are 27-34 year old.

Now your body only permits you to play in the IPL & EPL...etc.
