sore losers again
by wizardo id on Jul 22, 2009 10:38 PM  | Hide replies

the asstralian team, no, make that the crasstralian team, has been poor tourists, and very bad sport, sledging being their second nature, now they cannot accept their new status minus their now retired heroes.

ponting and his team now are no longer that hallowed team they once used to be. they now have to labour hard for their victories, people are not scared of them any longer. it will take time for them to get used to the new reality!

WI:

;-)..... yeah absolutely... you'd want that same Ponting back who would mouth profanities at the post match ceremony a la Kumble ishtyle.... isn't it?... . ;-)
With statements like "Congratulations to England...", "We don't focus on things beyond our control...", etc. you feel he's a sore loser.... :)

BIJIT CHAKRABORTY
lucky england
by BIJIT CHAKRABORTY on Jul 21, 2009 05:28 PM

i think the england team is lucky that they won this match.
they won it only because of andrew flintoff.this shows that after the retirement of andrew flintoff the england team will struggle a bit bcoz he is the spinal cord of england team.
but yesterday other than flintoff no other fast bowlers were able to take wickets at one time when clarke and haddin were playing it seemed that they win this match but it seems to be lucky that england won the match bcoz flintoff.
but can england be the same test team after his retirement?
sturat broad is able to take wickets even the new player onions was not looking comfortable bowling the aussies.
the aussies are known for bouncing back after a loss.
so may be in the next match they can come hard at the english men and play agressive cricket.
so england wants to win that match or at least draw that match then the fast bowlers like sturat broad and onions should bowl well.
bcoz at lords flintoff was the matchwinner for england but this cannot be expected everytime from him.
so the rest of the bowlers should take up the charge.
i also think that ricky should now quit captaincy and should hand over this job to michael clarke and see what he can do because already he proved that he can be a great captain.
without brett lee australia is looking downpour in this series.
their main bowler mitchell jhonson is also not in the best of his form.
they dont have good spinners and so they are struggling.

Hard to beat the Aussies on a level playing field.
by Manu Zach on Jul 21, 2009 04:38 PM  | Hide replies

This match once again proved that it is hard to beat the Aussies on a level playing field. Teams need either bad umpiring or controversies or under prepared pitches or even luck to beat them. Only South Africa has managed to beat the Aussies on a level playing field in recent times.

LOL. It is hard for current aussies to win unless they have umpires on their side. Proves how bad a side they have become. Just so you remember, india kicked aussies in their a$$ on a lavel playing field. How short your memory is. Too much convict worship.

Pathetic Indians
by waste cricket on Jul 21, 2009 02:21 PM  | Hide replies

Its really really pathetic to see Indians praising England over this victory. If Indians feel that English men are less racial or more respectful towards Indians, then thats the biggest illusion.
The Australians are also English men, but only a shade duplicate.

its nt abt the country or team. its abt individuals. right now australian team hv few individuals who r racist and arrogance. they deserve this treatment. morever, domination of 1 team is nt good for cricket so its gud 2 c tht eng won the match.

As long as the domination is because of their abilities, there is no need to call it as bad. The mood or the feelings over here from yesterday is that, because Australians are racists,Indians are supporting England.
Tomorrow if India dominates any sport, would all these people feel same? Lets not forget that England is as bad as or as good as Australia in every aspect.

DP:

yeah.... you would have hated the way Ponting behaved in the post match ceremony.... brings back stark comparisons in our mind (Syd 2008) as to how losing captains should NOT behave... right?... :)
And Cricket Australia didn't help give any solace to us coz they didn't panic like BCCI calling blackmails left, right and centre to dismiss Koertzen "or else".... :)
BTW, what's your definition of "racist"?... curious...

Absolutely.... I just peeked into the ICC's official website and they have put Australia at #57 in test playing nations...

India on the other hand has been put at #1 spot permanently for the next 60 years, irrespective of any future match results...

If it wasn't for your tireless efforts, ICC wouldn't have taken this noble step I'm sure.... so we all thank you from the bottom of our heart.... :)

Wow. you do too much peeking.

I know pseudo, it hurts when somebody comments bad on your favorite team. But u know what, it is time to grow up and accept the facts. Aussies are a goner. India will become whatever it will become, depending on how the team performs. Maybe your suggestions to ICC can help since you seem to hold so much power and do way too much peeking (into god knows what). Anyways pl do keep updating on your expert findings. Enlightened!.
