arrogant Aussies
by umamahesh kar on Jul 20, 2009 04:53 PM

"Coach Tim Nielsen told a news conference on Sunday the Australians are trying to win, not draw,...". Keeping aside this arrogance, if they had prayed God for rescue, may be they would been saved by rain !!!

Truly Australia deserves no. 1 position in Test ranking. After 215 all out any team surrender against total 515.But three time world champion shut the mouth of all critics who declared aus become finished after T-20 world cup.Common Australia u can win champion trophy and world cup - 2011.We want this type of spirit.

What a come back by aus. Thanks to Clarke and haddin.
I think Aus can create a history here, although itis very urgent to say anything. But these guys have played fantastic innings.
I am eagerly waiting for final day play.

restricted overs test matches
by jess on Jul 20, 2009 12:21 PM  | Hide replies

Instead of 20-20 test matches why not think of a restricted maximum 90 overs first innings and an unrestricted number of overs of second innings, test match? this will remove boredom and will have results. i think this is the real future for test matches.

those who support the test matches will not be in a position to appreciate a shorter version. people who are used to 20-20 or 50-50, will never appreciate anything longer than a day anyways.

a consensus is far away!

I support your basic idea.. it can be 90 overs each inninigs and total 4 innings in which case result is obvious..with 5 days in hand.
