Tapesh
Freddy has big name than its performance
by Tapesh on Jul 16, 2009 10:41 AM

Good morning friend. This is Tapesh Tripathi from Kanpur. Freddy has big name than its performance. Means his name is bigger than his match winning performances. No doubt that he was a hero of Ashes 2005 and on the basis of his performance england won this pride after 18 years.
But overall he is not a really big player.

I’m shocked to read he’s retiring from test cricket!
He’s a great player. I want to watch him playing in test cricket more than ODI or T-20. It’s really a big blow for England and it’ll be hard to find an all-rounder caliber of him.
It’s sad but what one can do in this situation. It’s indeed quitting rather than playing against his body power.
Well, I hope he’ll be fine soon so that we can watch him playing for the rest three or four remaining tests and in ODIs in future.
Get well soon Freddy!

Buddy, it's because of his early quitting!
I know what you are trying to say but mind it, he's played very few matches since 2005. As they said, he missed 20 test matches in last three years, has had 4 operations since then. He's a very fighting player, opponent know how dangerous he can be on the field in any parts of the game. Believe it or not, your choise!

FLINT(was mostly)OFF
by SUBRAMANIAN RAMAKRISHNAN on Jul 16, 2009 09:51 AM  | Hide replies

Flintoff is a classic example of cricketing greatness being thrust upon some by snobbish Brits purely due to performance in The Ashes. Gent in question was truly "ON" only when playing Aus and has not proved himself under a spectrum of playing conditions around the world.

It is quite allright if some Brits prefer to bury their heads in the sand but we can't really expect the rest of the world to pay homage then, can we? Now that would be quite absurd, preposterous even, wouldn't it?

Flintoff overrated or underrated, he was a great player, who can forget the scene when he went to console Brett Lee when the other players were celebrating the Ashes win
