No sense in Commenting the Trios of Indian Cricket
by manju nath on Jul 09, 2009 01:03 PM

Trio's Sachin, Sourav,Dravid Really put their all effort and serve for the Nation in cricket, it doesn't mean that they did not won worldCup,we should not comment by taking that as a base, South Africa being Top team did not won even single world Cup, do we say that Smith Kallis Rhodes are not good players, Winning worldCup is not only the Metric to measure the worth of the players, since cricket is not a individual game, even simple mistakes wipe out the chances,

So England, who are considered as inventors of Cricket, and the current numero uno ranked South Africa are just a pile of Garbage since they do not have a single world title to their names! How strange!

how many world cups have we won in ODI's ?
Please t20 doesn't count... 20/20 is barely real cricket in the 1st place.

And who died and put you in a position to judge anyone ? How many world cups do you have to your name .. yeah please don't count the world cups you have won in STUPID1TY

dada is a minnow basher
by Nishant on Jul 09, 2009 12:13 PM  | Hide replies

I have seen this post plenty of times from a lot of ass out here..

out of 10000 ODI runs how many runs did he score against minnows? seems from the comments he scored 9000 runs against Kenya Bangladesh Scotland etc and the rest against the known teams.
and dont back up your points by reminding us of Gangulys performance in that World Cup against minnows.
He has playd plenty of match winning knocks against the better teams and only an ass like the posters here (Viv Riuchards , Sameer K, VS Giri) would not know that.

He was the one who picked up the Indian team when it was in tatters and moulded it intoa team that started believing in itself.

True he behaves like a spoilt ass plenty of time, seemed like a joker when he goes for the pull shot but you should appreciate what he has achieved instead of posting manipulated stuffs to abuse him.

just get a life.

and if u cant bash the minnows then you are a worthless ass.

Welcome back Dravid.....
by Anurag Rathore on Jul 09, 2009 12:12 PM

Come on Dhoni. Back him in ODI also like you back him for test before NZ tour.

Sachin and Dravid should rotate wisely. When Sachin plays in X1 then Sachin and Sehwag should be opener and Gambhir should play at 3. When Dravid plays, Sachin should sit on bench, Gambhir and Sehwag should do open and Raina or Dhoni can come at 3.

all the fours are dedicated cricketers with lot aggression - cannot say anything on the selection front. at least they could have been in the 30 probables - selection process needs to be streamlined - and new method to be adopted - I do not what this srikant is doing?

well I am agressive too ... but if i score 0-10 in 3-4 deliveries each match and get 2 wickets for 100 runs ... thats not good right ?

They should be in 30. When compared to many players in 30 probables these are much much better players.

Kaif has won Lords final and finish so may matches successfully with Dravid like in Pak.

Only because of Sreesanth India able to win first test victory in SA.

3.No need to show Irfan stats. He has won countless matches for India.

4.Uthappa played brilliatly in T-20 WC, won a famous ODI in England for India.

its only the 30
by kamal harish on Jul 09, 2009 09:47 AM  | Hide replies

guys we are taking things too far ahead...getting into the 30 does not guarantee any place for him in the side...on the field though, he is still a liability..however, due to the "efforts" of Rohit Sharma, the door is slightly ajar for Dravid..i am huge fan of Dravid and personally feel that he should be given a proper send off, being one of the greats of the game, a luxury which Ganguly couldnt afford due to his stubbornness, despite being one of the greatest ODI players ever....

Dear Kamal, Of late Dhoni was playing worse than Dravid. He was holding the bat like a beginner and and he had no shots to play. Even his way of defence was awkward. Now against WI, he played slightly better.

Strange are the ways of the world. A person who made the highest runs in the last series, a person who stood like a rock when the other players around him were falling like nine pins is being slammed for his batting! Guys it is not the technique which matters, it is the end result which matters- to draw an analogy, China is not known for the best way of doing business, but today they are the largest growing economy. Are we seeing the typical "frog in the well" mentality?

i totally agree with Mak..if you guys feel that Dhoni is playing worse than a so-and-so person, show me the numbers...then how does he continue to be atop the ICC ODI rankings? how does he average more than 90 this year in ODI..if you say thats due to his not outs, he is still aggregates next only to Yuvraj i guess...and all this with a strike rate in the high 80s....whereas with due respect to both dravid and ganguly, they never touched 75 in their 300 match careers....the nos dont back up your accusations man...grow up...and as far as keeping is concerned, i think IPL was a good proof of the gulf that exists between Dhoni and the rest...DK is good..but not good enough...if he cements his place as a batsman in the team, it would be a bonus...

Dude, understand that, earning money is good but how ever and what ever ways is not good. (Money is just an example) Being responsible Captain, first Dhoni should know how best he can do, not how ever. i feel he is not matured to be captain in anyway. Team required either Dravid and Sourav kind of senior person in the team to go ahead in a better way. otherwsie god only shd save the team.

Jay,
Never ever try to compare Dhoni with Dravid. Dravid is an excellent, technical player, I don't think Dhoni even know there is something called Technique. He is just powerful but that doesn't helps always. Mind it, Dravid never played worse. All the great batsmen will have Ups n downs for sure, but Dravid never let us down when actually its required. He ruined his career by not thinking of his individual performances. He opened the innings several time, played at the end, just tried all the possibilities to win the match when actually the whole team performance was zero. He never concentrated on his individual things like he is best fit @ 1 down r 2 down position.

Yes u r right Dravid is great batsmen. But there is big difference between good player and good captain. Dhoni is good captain and player as well. Why dravid was failed as captain, he failed as a player when he was captain.
After Kapil, azar and ganguly, dhoni is best as a captain and player. This is universal truth. Every captain in current teams says dhoni is best captain.
