by madanmohan siddhanthi on Jul 05, 2009 06:50 PM

He is a great player , who brought recognition to Sri Lanka team .He has invariably troubled Indian Batsmen .Also his behaviour on the feild has been exemplary .Yes ! to hang the boots .Well one day and T-20 may also be not a great idea - but who can decide except you .

Whatever you do the very best of Luck

Admire the Lankans

These Sri Lankans have to be admired in the way they play their cricket. They also have a lot of good players. But they are not made demi Gods like our Indian cricketers. They play the game hard and fair, and when it is time to retire they just leave.

Compare this to the recent Ganguly retirement. The entire nation of Kolkata went into mourning hearing this. The news channels had this as the headlines. Stock markets were disturbed because of this. Sometimes we Indians make life very difficult for ourselves by having too much expectatons.

It is a game. These players play for our entertainment and also their livelihood. There is no need to take their failures and successes to heart. Hope we learn a thing or two from Sri lanka.

And oh, well played Vaas.

yes we should admire the lankan selectors and the team for keeping a player like jayasurya who si 40 and is only playing for his self and blocking the way of the youngsters who have bright future and he has got no future.we should admire the lankans for going all the way to make a chucker like murali to play and bend the basic bowling rules of the icc.we should admire the lankans bcoz just for the sake of money they travelled to pakistan and put their own players and under risk of their life.there are lot of things need to be learnt from them you are true my friend

oh yes. you are right. in india we never do such things right? nobody in the current indian team is blocking the way of youngsters, right? our bowlers never get reported for suspect actions right? and we dont use our status as most powerful cricketing nation to bend the arm of the ICC and misuse our power right?

you are right dude. we are a wonderful nation full of wonderful human beings. (saccastic)

this is not only about ganguly, but several other indian stars. these stars are treated as kings and they are revered throughout india. sometimes this blind worship of these stars is what is disgusting.

Dear ICC....although what u say is not incorrect, i recommend our fingers to be pointed at us for the way we worship our film weeds...I know its gross digression of topic but Filmstars, OMG...

They are totally useless...entertainment is all about extraordinary talent (acting) when they have all the time to rehearse, add effects, etc.

But the truth is that most of the girls only have skin and most of the guys only have pops...and all of them earn in crores, plus media frenzy and public glare...

I cant think of actors except Sr.AB, Irfaan Khan, Kamal Hasan and a few handful...yet they never get sidelined...when our cricketers flop they are atleast rebuked...T-20 and F-50 worldcup as proof...but an SRK and that weed Salman...they neither do their job well nor set good examples for ppl at an impressionable age yet they have all the fun....

Please dont spend and watch their movies unless they become quality conscious...let them have some pressure..plz..lets raise up our standards and flush the non performing weeds out...for god's sake Katrina cant act nor dance nor talk
