The biggest hypocrite of all time Sunny
by Raman Shiva on Jul 04, 2009 12:22 AM  | Hide replies

All the advises he gives to youngsters and Dhoni is to be directed to Sachin, but he never did.

Sunny famously kept telling the world that Players should retire when asked why and why not, well if thats the case Sunny then how come you urge Sachin to play 2011 wcup, that too when India had lost 2007 cup the first thing comes out of ur mind is that and not for how for India to ever win a WCUP,its been 26 years, yea we won T20 WCUP,but we know what this T20 is really worth it

Sunny says Dhoni has curbed his style to last longer,oh really?then what about Sachin who hasnt played a aggressive match winning Innings in ODIS for god knows how long?Sachin for crying out loud never scored a 100 when he didnt open,so what does that show?Selfish play or slow play Sunny?

Sunny says Youngsters should refrain from playing IPL?then what about those who are already rich and have played almost 500 ODIS like Sachin?Isnt their body that needs rest so that they can focus on matches played for India? Is it only the Youngsters who have hardly made any money to not play IPL and the oldie who u want to last till 2011 WCUP should skip IPL?

Its a shame that this Hypocrite sits there and talks how about sports Aussies are when we know how bad he was when he was given out(rightly so if u see the videos)in Melbourne Test 1981...and who can forget his 36 runs of 60 overs in a WCUP match, thats right 60 overs and not 60 balls.....

What is wrong in earning money using yours skills?
by LG on Jul 03, 2009 05:40 AM  | Hide replies

What is wrong in earning money using yours skills?

There is nothing wrong or bad about earning money using your skills that you have developed through hard work.

People who criticize or accused greats like Sachin for earning money are the ones
-who have neither the money nor the required skills to earn it
-who earn it by wrong means---cheating, stealing, robbing, begging, selling drugs, betting, etc. or through corruption because they do not know that money can be earned in respected ways.
-Or kids whose have been seeing their parents earning money by bad means only.

Cheater has no right to give advice...........
by Mahesh Dave on Jul 03, 2009 04:07 AM  | Hide replies

Gavaskar without fear fixed matches which can be seen from the way he played during his days...moreover to support this he was caught red handed with unaccountable foreign currency which he had hidden in his locker at Bombay Gymkhana...he got away due to his political connections and poor Azharuddin was made the scape goat..(am not saying that Azhar was innocent)

Why he is jealous?????????????

Disagree
by Jasper kim on Jul 03, 2009 01:03 AM  | Hide replies

I have to disagree with him since there are a lot of cricketers in india & a lot of the deserving ones of a national call up never get it or are given many chances while others are given repeated opportunities due to the backing of some selectors who favour certain players from their state or region.

So why not aim to play in the ipl where you can make more money in 1 season than playing domestic for a whole year. Guys like gavaskar dont know about money problems for cricket players who dont make the big bucks like those on the A grade who make 40-50 lakh a year like sachin/dravid/etc etc.

gavaskar has not said that young cricketers should not play in ipl. he is only saying that they shud understand that there is cricket beyond ipl. many times we teach kids that money is not everything. ur life has many things beyond just money like ur parents, relatives, career, social life, country etc. how is gavaskar's advice any diff?

Its rediculous assumptuion that Guys like Gavasker dont know abt money problems...How much u know abt him...?? He came from modest middle class background, rose himself UP...and after all that He is talking about his own field...Read carefully the very first paragraph of the article... He is saying playing IPL should not be their ultimate goal..So he is not saying dont play IPL..He is raising bar for those youngesters...only if u can read within right frame of mind....

correct. gavaskar has not transformed anything in cricket. gavaskar used to play short balls easily both defence or attack. but youngsters did not learn from him they still cannot play short ball. so india lost in t20 wc. gavaskar was not able to change anything.

Sunny tell this to ur fav Sachin
by Raman Shiva on Jul 02, 2009 10:18 PM  | Hide replies

So what are u telling the youngsters Sunny that they dont have right to make money? Why dont u ask Sachin to not play IPL and be fit and hungry for ODIS or Tests, truth is he should retire from ODIS but ur the one who urged him to play until 2011 WCUP or more,so he is never gonna retire, but y dont u atleast ask him to not play IPL as his body and mind must be tired for playing for 20 years, why r u soo keen on just branding the youngsters as reckless of national duty?R u afraid that some of them might be replacing Sachin as national icon?I remember in one IPL match some younger player hit a four when sachin was in the non strikers end and Gavaskar immediately says its because the legend Sachins aura rubbed on the youngster to play that stroke...huh...

Sunny is one of the Best thinking brain in the world of Cricket...The least you can do is to listen wht he has to say and think over it...The worst u can do fart thru ur mouth which exactly u did...Everyone has right of expression but one should have some authority, some knowledge, some experience ..and the most imp is "Some sense "atleast...Now where in the aritcle Sunny said that youngsters dotn have right to earn.. as u accused...And talking abt Sachin well u need 3 decades more to even start about it..So come back on this forum in 2039 ..till then Good luck

Every one needs money, but at the same time u shouls respect the game... All the youngstars were batted very well in IPL, then why they are not performing well in ODIs... cos they just know how to hit the ball, but they also have to learn how to hit the ball, when and where they have to hit

raman pls dont make ppl laugh. u think gavaskar is afraid that some youngster will replace sachin as national icon? to become national icon youngster has to play for country first right? that is exactly what gavaskar is asking them to do. give importance to playing for india than to playing in ipl. or earning big money makes youngsters national icons in ur opinion?
