Calcutta has provided some of the most memorable victories, especially against Aussies.

Its true Calcutta is a lousy venue that'll abuse even Indians if native bongs are not chosen. However why have these 7 one-dayers? Who the heck cares who wins these? Unless ICC intervenes and sets up some sort of annual or bi-annual league for ODIs and T20s they'll lose their charm in the near future. They should do that for tests too. There should be a c0onsequence for losing a game. Otherwise it'll remain just a tamasha.

So called Bilateral oneday series have no consequence as you mentioned and can only breed corruption. As you mentioned correctly there should only be few one day tournaments and 20/20 tournaments per year. Bilateral cricket should be played only for Tests. This way cricketers will play meaningful cricket.
