dubious LBW decisions
by Amrit Singh on Feb 02, 2009 05:49 PM

In this match, Sachin and Yuvraj were ruled LBW out by umpire of Sri Lanken origin. Should not the umpire be from neutral countries? Maybe umpire was trying to pay-off debts to his mother country?

people don't think before commenting

sachin was given out wrongly in 2 matches and people consider that as a failure. It happens only in india, a player who has scored nearly 17000 runs needs to prove his mettle in every match. If we can keep a dravid in the test team when he failed in more than 10 to 12 tests matches, why can't we keep sachin? He got 2 bad decisions and that's the reason for his failures. No matter how he gets out evry sachin critic in the country wants to earn his 15 minutes of fame by writing against him. All these years there have been so many critics and cynics of sachin, they come, bark for a while and vanish but the one thing that has remained constant all these years is the genius of sachin ramesh tendulkar.

Congratulations to Sachin

Sachin, we congratulate you on your latest 50. That is for being given out wrongly for the 50th time in your career.
Biased decisions like this help ensure that a lot of ignorants can comment about you foolishly.
Not only you have given a tremendous satisfation to people who really understand cricket, you have also helped lot of writers who got noted by writing against you. That was the best way for them to get noted. If they wrote about anyone, I mean anyone, else, no body would have read their articles.

Sachin you are an institution. Do keep on playing till your body and mind tells you to do so.

Rohit Sharma

What Tendulkar is doing in the team b forcing out Rohit Sharma out despite his very useful contribution in the 1st ODI?
He might have got out to wrong lbw decision - but why should he receive the ball in his pad instead of bat and give room for such decisions consistently.
I am fine to see younger players playing - at least he learns in his failure - but can not accept Tendulkar regularly getting out for cheap runs. He has become a batsmen more to fill the place at the cost of other young players than to count on him for contribution.

Superb point! It is the hypocrisy of Sachin that prevails. But the days are ending and you can see the desperateness in public with lots of arrogance. Those are the signs for better things to come for India. He is surely a thorn between India's No. 1 and No. Uncertainty.

ICC CANCEL HOSTING CHAMPIONS TROPHY IN PAK; GOOD NEWS FOR INDIA
by austino on Feb 01, 2009 05:17 PM  | Hide replies

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday decided to take away the hosting rights of the Champions Trophy from Pakistan after several member boards expressed reservations about touring the troubled country.

The new venue for the eight-team event would be decided by the ICC before its next scheduled meeting in April, the ICC said after the final day of its two-day Board meeting here.

Pakistan would be disappointed to have lost the chance to host the event which was first scheduled to be held in October last year but had to be postponed due to the volatile situation in the country.
