We all honor and respect Dravid for all his contributions. But those you are asking him to continue on the basis of just a 'few bad innings', let me remind you Dravid have been performing below par since SEPTEMBER 2006, from the DLF Cup.
He is averaging about 30 since that period.. Therefore, it's not a few bad innings, but more than 2 years of bad performance.
FIRST OF ALL IT IS RIDICULUS TO SAY SOMETHING BAD ABOUT THIS LEGENDARY CRICKETER. THOSE WHO CANNOT EVEN HOLD THE BAT PROPERLY ARE TALKING ABOUT THIS CRICKETER. HE HAS BEEN THE BACK BONE OF OUR TEST CRICKET FOR SO MANY YEARS AND IF HE FAILS IN ONE OR TWO INN IT REALLY DOSENT MATTER. IT ITSELF SPEAKS GREAT ABOUT THIS CRICKETER THAT NO BODY IS THERE TO REPLACE HIM

There are plenty of batsmen ready to replace Dravid, as evidenced by the performance of M Vijay against the Aussies. It is just that they are not given enough opportunities or at the right time (e.g., Akash Chopra, who got two away series against the Aussies & the Proteas & was dumped thereafter). Look at the domestic records of Wasim Jaffer, Amol Muzumdar, Sutanshu Kotak, S Badrinath, Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Y Venugopal Rao (who incidentally, I believe is the best person to replace Dravid) & you will realise the grave injustice being done to them by not being given an opportunity while an out-of-form Dravid is being persisted with.
Why people judge a cricketer like Dravid on a few flop innings of his? He is a matured player who saved India from many blushes in the past. He knows when he should ang his boot. Comparing him with Heyden is ridiculous. There are no cricketers in Australia who can boast that he is better than Dravid. The moment a player is failed with bat his past is totally forgotten and he is abused by Toms dicks and Harries.Let us learn to respect people who made India shine in sports.

There is no doubt regarding Dravid's greatness. In fact, I rate him as better than Sachin, looking at his overseas record & the quality of attack against which those runs have been scored. But, & it is a BIG BUT, he is now clearly playing for the world record (of maximum number of catches in tests). It would do well to give him a break for some time (as it did for V Sehwag) & meanwhile give an oportunity to some younger guy. Cricket is a team game, but it relies heavily on individual performances. You just can't rest on your laurels. You have to pull your weight in the team, which sadly, Dravid is not doing at the moment.

He hasn't performed in last 2/3 years. Just couple of hundreds in last 10 series. He should take a break and then come back like Dada did.

u realise that was his first duck in first class cricket. came after scoring more than 65 first class hundreds and followed a brisk unbeaten 122 in the semis.
Arjun yadav is India most hyped cricketer. he does nto score any where but manges tofind a place in all the team. he will be soon in oned ay sqaud too thanks to the his sly dad shivlal yadav
Rahul Dravid, should only fit for commentary. He should retire from domestic cricket as well.
I recommend him to visit an opthalmalogist. get fresh pair of contact lens. Now media u dont come here and tell that he dont have confidence in domestic cricket.
