RE: Pakistani banker is MD of 2011 World Cup organising secretari

The BCCI should find a way to get out of having to co-host the WC with Pak & Bangladesh. If the BCCI cannot do that then the Indian Ministry for External Affairs should step in and bar any business dealings between Indian companies & those in Pak & B'Desh since neither country's foreign policy is consistent with India's best interests. Why should India help these countries prosper when their governments do nothing to curb extermist elements within their borders from aiding and abetting terrorists committing acts of unspeakable violence and mass murder in India? Until these countries are hit where it hurts i.e., their wallets, they will not be motivated take any concrete action against extremism within their borders. It's really a shame that despite suffering repeatedly at the hands of terrorists nurtured by these countries, India's still apparently wringing its hands wondering how best to react. While it's understandable that a military offensive is impractical, why can't India impose an economic embargo on these States? The Cricket World Cup would be a good place to start. In any event many elite teams would be unwilling to enter Pak any time soon - so we might as well make it easier on everyone.

Do we seriously think the 'security' situaiton in Pakistan will dramatically improve by 2011?
Its foolish to think countries will visit the IT capital of the world - PAK, (IT stands for International Terrorism) for cricket matches for a long time to come!
