could he bat good overseas that is his main challenge, especially in new zealand where it helps the bowlers.he had a good 2008 hopefully he continues his good form.
Gambhir is definitely a superb cricketer to join the ranks in the last few years,a del(h)ite to watch out for in the coming years,hope he turns out many more winning innings for INDIA.
Again some mad detractors who can't digest India's success secret (team spirit) which comprises of overall contributions rather than individual brilliance. Unnecessarily they are bringing regional issues.
He had to prove his ability and he did in right fashion. He needs to manage temprament. He could have scored hungred or two more if he was not not penalized.

Mr. extreme, You gumandi delhite is a good thing. atleast one feels proud of something one posess. a hollow person like coming from the forests area cant feel proud of anything.
gambhir is one of the best test opener for india in the recent years,but he has been overshadowed by the big names arround him. he is just playing the roll of justin langer in austalia. coming NZ series is a big testy for him if he succseeded there then he is champion.
