if england, want to be in top team..
then they should give free hand to captain of the team..
in role of captain is very important...
see what happens with india and south africa

english board is incompetant and every body wants his important ...ego problem...ignoring the english team

Pieterson could be dropped After resignation
by Tapesh on Jan 09, 2009 12:36 PM

Pieterson could be dropped After resignation, because he crossed his limit. Now ECB should make a tight decision about him.

Strauss is very good and perfect choice for Captain
by Tapesh on Jan 09, 2009 12:25 PM

Strauss is very good and perfect choice for Captain. He is in touch, he is in form and he has got stamina to do well and find best by his players.
So , come on Strauss. Now you are the captain of England, Congratulations

Flintoff proved he is not good enough to be captain becoz of 5-0 Ashes drubbing in 2006 and the drinking binge during the World Cup 2007 in West Indies

England have never been anywhere in cricket for more than 15 years; they invent something and other countries cath up and overtake them and England are always behind. Players make their debut at 30 ; all bits and pieces players are selected and also look at the way England play in ODIs especially the Powerplays; England play out the Powerplays; they are often a slow, defensive and boring team ; they are very weak against spin and batting implosions are common. I don't see things being very different for England in the future

Strauss was not d better option ...
by Vikram on Jan 08, 2009 02:07 PM  | Hide replies

Andrew strauss was not fit to be in ODI team , then how come he'll lead a team ?.... for test he is ok , but not for ODI.... collingwood or Flintoff would have been better option .... or they could have tried with Owais shah for ODI

Collingwood resigned from odi captaincy earlier; Flintoff was not inspirational and he lead 5 players in a drinking binge in West Indies World Cup. Strauss is not a bad choice; he led the team to 2-0 victory agaisnt Pak and his style of captaincy is refreshingly aggressive

collingwood and flinoff already made and they resigned for the captaincy. all senior players are not intersted for the captaincy. so lets make a new comer as a caption like southafrica did witj smith.

owais shah will not last long even though he possess all the skills to be a gud player & captain. As he is not complete british. England is one of the many places on earth where RACISM rules supreme even today. Ask any non british who visited or toured UK they would tell the same.
