Why not? SA did put up a fight. What will you say about G.Smith coming to bat for his team with a broken hand?
Also Aussies won with just 10 balls to spare, not exactly a convincing victory.
Re: match fixed !

Graeme Smith wanted heroics, hence his entry.
Aussies were mighty once again and uprooted his stumps after breaking his elbow. SA could have tried doing this with their (so called) powerful bowlers.
Aussie will be the only team with chance (even in a test match) to taste a victory with 10 odd balls left.... Let you sit and stare the sky for another such finish.

The aussies will be the only team that wins the match with 10 balls left...others will win with more than 20 overs left. If the bowlers were half decent, they would have removed the tail-enders in no time. Its a disgrace for the opposing bowlers that Makhaya Ntini was unbeaten in the end (no offense to Makhaya). The match would have finished earlier if they held their catches also. I guess bowlers should start trying to injure batsmen when they come out to bat. They should aim for Tendukar's head next time - head injury putting him out of action for few months, or break Dhoni's fingers - no more glovework for some time, or break Yuvraj's hand so he can't bat or bowl. It'd be interesting viewing but you'd be here whining about it and asking for bans.

Australia are on a decline after retirement of Langer, Gilchrist, McGrath and Warne. The 2008 records just suggest that.

yeah keep dreaming Bublu. Your Aussies really needs that West Indian umpire more then ever now to win matches..

Aussies in 2008 have won only against New Zealand and West Indies, the two sides which are ahead of only Bangladesh in ICC Test Ratings and managed to retain the top spot.

India has lost to Sri Lanka in their home Test Series and had consolation in their ODI. Everyone knew how Sri Lanka fares in international cricket ahead of only Bangladesh, West Indies & New Zealand

Who are everyone? You, and your two balls? Sri Lanka is one of the best teams and better then England and Paki most of the times...
Re: Re: Re: JALO MAAT UNKE JAISA BANO
by Chaturchuramoni Chatterjee on Jan 08, 2009 07:23 PM
Ok, but other than that? Drawn against South Africa, lost against Australia away (thanks to that controversial Sydney test), beaten Australia and England at home.
Also Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka is not a very easy side to beat specially after inclusion of Ajantha Mendis.

Oh i see.. So beating West Indies in West Indies is easy for you, while drawing South Africa in India is hard.... may be cos, you list out everything and write result according to your will and wish.
With no controversy, Aussie (weak aussie team) they have won the last test comfortably and retained their No.1 spot. No other nation would have tried to achieve this feat, when they were behind 0-2

Oh Isee Bhuyan aka Charlie...you list out everything and write result according to your will and wish.
Your last paragraph is one solid joke. Check your reply and then judge your words, you best described it.hehehe

Last time when West Indies won a test series any where in the World (not considering the tests against Bangladesh) was against India in 2002

thats an amazing declaration, and a great performance by the oz team. but still, hey are no where close to being dominant. once upon a time they had plundered most teams, right now indians and SA team beat the pants off them, and with a little less help from the umpires to the aussies, indians would have been the first to beat them in 16 years.
Re: i hate the oz team, but theyve done remarkably well
by Bhuyan Bublu on Jan 08, 2009 07:32 PM
Don't worry, like many indians here, you too are longing for help from umpires and you will get the help sooner or later...
Re: Re: i hate the oz team, but theyve done remarkably well
by Prabodh Jain on Jan 09, 2009 09:27 AM
Don't worry, your beloved Aussies are done now and those biased umpires will no longer of any help to your shit colored Aussies
Man jus a day ago i witnessed a lot of people shouting and critizising Ricky Pointing for the declaration. Certainly if the result was not in the favour of AUS then pointing would be chopped by entire media and cricket lovers all over the world. Now they have won the test, I still cant believe the media hailing him as the best captain of the century and so on.... so do the fans .
Re: Declaration
by Chaturchuramoni Chatterjee on Jan 08, 2009 06:06 PM
Was the declaration that risky? Pitch was not very good for batting and G.Smith was injured.
Re: Re: Declaration
by Bhuyan Bublu on Jan 08, 2009 07:34 PM
Given the fact that SA have chased well in their previous test, the tail wagging well and true, Aussies were able to score 250plus runs on the day4 for the loss of just 4 wickets against the (so called) mighty SA bowling attack comprising the then Man of the Match Steyn, Kallis, Ntini, etc... It IS DEFINITELY A BOLD AND SPIRITED DECLARATION.
Would you take time to think what Dhoni did in Mohali, brushing his a** and rubbing his pant*s without declaring on a dusty pitch???
Re: Re: Declaration
by Mature Stud on Jan 09, 2009 09:07 AM
I agree Chatur. IT WASNO WAY SPORTING DECLARATION. The man who set up SA in previous two tests was Smith and he was injured. The SA and Aussie media said Dale Stein wasn't 100% in the Aussie 2nd inning. Per media and cricket experts like Ian chappel and even the players like Hussey and Boucher said the pitch was very difficult to play on..
Re: Re: Declaration
by Prabodh Jain on Jan 09, 2009 09:31 AM
It IS DEFINITELY NOT A BOLD AND SPIRITED DECLARATION. Only Bublu bhuyan aka blogger aka many other name will keep saying that to make his criminal Aussies look hero.
Nichols, Chappel, Mark Boucher, and Hussey said how difficult it was to play on that pitch during third and forth day and that the pitch will be unplayable on 5th day.. Now this Bublu Bhuyan clown seem to know more then these four folks who played on that pitch or have played lot more cricket then Bublu has ever watched in his life. hehehehe

Bobby, Even RSA won Perth and MCG because of cheating. You want me to tell when here you Go:-
1. Matt was give out, when the ball was coming from Matt boot (in Perth 2nd Inn). 2. Hussy was given Out when the ball was flying from his helmet (In MCG 2nd Inn) 3. J.P Dumminy was not given LBW when he was less than 10, 60 and 80 (All these 3 shout was confirmed as out by replay) - In MCG 1st Inn.
Is this Enough or you want any more details....
Just stop finding mistake, else you will not be a winner. Who knows one day you will even come say why should we type MISTAKE, why it can not be like MISSTAKE
Re: Re: Dear Rediff.
by Indian on Jan 09, 2009 09:37 AM
Hey Shan Murgi, Unlike Aussie, SA never cheated nor intimidated umpires. Umpires made a mistake giving out batters from both side. Obviously you being typical Aussie will only blame opposition as always. Now go and clean your Ponti's undiesss
Re: Dear Rediff.
by Bloggers on Jan 08, 2009 08:08 PM
bobby kumar dont be one sided. india lost terribly in sydney test last year only bcoz of their own performance and not umpires. they are equal number of dubious decision in that test.
symonds was out but given not out, then what about sachin plumb LBW and lakshman LBW. both were out but not given out. and in perth test last year symonds was given out LBW which was no way out. hussey was given out LBW again its a dubious decision. only indians will cry about umpiring decision. not other country cries. indians gave away 3 wickets in the final over to brilliant bowling of clarke. they were unable to bat for a single over shame on them. why do u blame umpires? watch the game after analyzing everything dont cry like gavaskar and harsha bhogle.

Re: Re: Dear Rediff.

Watched the game live and watched it again and the Umpiring was seriously one sided. Indian certainly didn't play well but Symond was given not out not once, twice but three times... And let me tell you Blogger the English media here cry all the time if any one of their bats given out wrongly..
Symond would even say he was out in Perth..
You're certainly not India and I can easily tell that..
