IPL & ICL
by Abhijit on Jan 05, 2009 02:18 PM  | Hide replies

Pak players in ICL make it much more competitive.
IPL backed by BCCI do have other stars that make it much more attractive.

English players are ready to play in this season. So Pak players absence will not hurt IPL popularity.
But Pak players will effected so much by their exclusion.

Mumbai scoring a big total
by Abhijit on Jan 05, 2009 02:14 PM  | Hide replies

W. Jaffer set to make a triple hundred itself is a proof of standard of our so called waiting in list Young Brigade.
Pujara, Badri, Raina, Rohit, Kaif, Vijay etc.
This Jaffer scores heavily whenever he plays Ranji, not the same in International matches.
Tendulkar, Dravid seems to be the best we had and will have. No one can be better than them.

Jaffer scored big in Ranji and got chances in past but failed miserably. Rather try Pujara and many other new talents

Jaffer scored against Saurashtra which is a totally toothless attack save for Jobanputra; he will struggle in the green wickets in NZ; and he has repeatedly failed while playing for India;maybe Pujara can be given a chance; not in place of Badrinath though.

Jobanputra's fastest bowl was 121kmph i think kumble used to touch 110 sometimes.. God jobanputra needs to add pace and lots of it, right now he is ordinary at best.. I am sorry but he is not good enough

Never call a World Record
by Abhijit on Jan 05, 2009 02:07 PM  | Hide replies

Cricket is now reduced to just 8 countries playing it passionately.
Never call a World Record, records should be mentioned as cricket record.
But with India having 110 crore population, many follow it eagerly.

W.Jaffer.....
by Anurag Rathore on Jan 05, 2009 11:30 AM  | Hide replies

He looks master of double century. He converted his 36th hundred in domestic cricket into double hundred. But he often failed against quality attack.
Jaffer and C.Pujara can get chance in place of Badrinath and M.Vijay for NZ tour.

Yes. Thats why he is outside the team. But he is looking strong in this season. In my view Badrinath, M.Vijay and Jaffer all are equal. Dosn't matter who will selected.
