no nation ready to tour Pak hence scrap 2011 worldcup co-hosting
by sanjay ranade on Jan 04, 2009 06:02 PM

This is the right time to give a knockout out punch to Pakis by calling off 2011 world cup co-hosted with Pakis. No nation is ready to tour Pak and hence if BCCI puts up a resolution that india will the host the world cup on its own them almost all members will accept it(with some amount of back stage stringpulling)this will finish any chance of pakistani cricket getting any more opportunity. This will be last nail in their coffin

ICC rules need to be changed
by Altaf Rahman on Jan 04, 2009 04:59 PM  | Hide replies

The no. of tests / ODIs in a bilateral series should be standardized.
1. For countries like India/Aus or Aus/England which have understanding to tour other country each year, the series should be limited to 3 tests, 5ODI and 3 T-20 matches only.
2. For non regular series between all other countries they can be 3 tests, 5 ODIs, 3 T-20s or 5 tests and a tri series ODI tourney.
3. For minnows like Bangladesh it should be limited to 1 or 2 tests with 3 ODIs.
This allows big countries to plan their series carefully. It also allows small countries to play more games with more countries as their series is small and can be fit between small gaps.
4. Also a rest day after 3 rd day of a test should be imposed to allow players to rest.
If these conditions are not put in place, countries like India, Aus will be less inclined to play with countries like WI, NZ for commercial reasons.
5. Also telecast rights have to be taken out of country Boards limits. Otherwise we can not watch them on normal channels like we used to do few years back.
6. All test grounds should be forced to follow certain standards like standardizing boundery lines at fixed distance, advt boards atleast 10 mts away from boundery lines (to allow fielders to chase balls freely and not get injured)
7. Artificial lighting should be allowed in tests too. ICC has to act fast as we are loosing valuable time.

8. Rich boards like BCCI and CA are forced to see the feasibility of having collapsable curtain roof covering the entire ground (above the stadium) to not let rain fall on ground. As it takes big money, BCCI should take initiative.
The above two points allow players to have more time to play and do away with D/L method which is a heart burn to good teams.

Make Sri Lanka paly in india before it goes to Pakistan for that reason Pak has to adjust to
new dates given by Sri Lanka
also new dates will clash with their Bangle desh tour - so Pakis have to speak to Banglas desh for the change

I short BCCI has shown Pakis who is Baap of cricket & messed up their plans & schedule

Ban all bad games.
by Kris Iyer on Jan 04, 2009 11:09 AM  | Hide replies

Ban cricket, football, hockey, boxing, chess and all other violent games and games/sports that pollute our environment and waste our resources.
There are so many good sports which test the physical, psychological , emotional and intellectual strength of an individual and people don't die watching or playing such sports.
