You Fool. Dada was never involved in any match fixing. If u dont like him, just shut up. I can prove u how many matches he has won. Just wait for New Zeland Tour, then you will agree with what he says. Only if a batsman like Sachin,Dravid & Laxman play well then we have a chance.

You Shitworthy fellow, son of a piles infected chain snatcher how dare you utter such nonsense. Your maternal uncle may be a market place thief beaten clack and blue by the local public. out of that grudge you are charging a god like character in Indian cricket? go to hell you gutter frog!!
Gary Kirsten was a totally patriotic player, and rightly so. Who in India decided that no Indian coach is as good as a south African, just when South Africa wants to wrest the crown from Australia? Gary is going to face a serious conflict of interests and a dilemma - his heart will work for S Africa and his brain for India. A noted lady CEO (Kidwai, AFAIK) and well-known actress MP Jaya Prada, wife of Big B had to give up their posts due to conflict of interests.
What about Gary Kirsten?
What is wrong with Anil Kumble, Venkatesh Prasad, Robin Singh, Praveen Amre, Narendra Hirwani?
These people have their hearts and brains in the right place and they also know how to coach and thy have been there, fought for India as a team. They have a lot of knowledge that they can share. Especially our fielding needs expert coaching. Sachin is already the team's computer and database - we dont need Woolmer's laptop. Sachin already knows every player he has played against inside out.
So why Gary Kirsten? Not to say that Gary has no integrity, but look at what that rogue Greg Chappell did - is the mistake worth repeating? Whatever little respect Ian Chappell had among Indian is also lost because of Greg.

if india wants to be number one we need to defeat australia and south africa at their soil consistently . it will be possible only if we have some fast pitches in india
We still have ways to go, 2008 was a good year but we still lost in Sri Lanka and the Asia Cup. It won't be easy taking Australia out of the #1 ICC rank, they are re-building, and we need to beat Sri Lanka in a test series.
ganguly is a player with nearly 19000 intl runs and 39 100s in his career so a player like him who also has been a captain of TEAM INDIA that we se today many would say that he is underestimating indian team but if we read full article all he said that indian team needs some more time to be called a real no 1 side as sachin, rahul, laxman may retire within 2011 then new one's coming in place of them will have a big task performing well in ENG AND SA in TESTS in 2011 so he is correct in a sense, being an INTL player for over a decade he shall know ability of team india way better than bloggers in rediff
What a balanced and logical man - we were lucky to have him representing and captaining India. We should not let go of him now he's retired. He would be a perfect in a role which requires man-management in cricketing matters (eg. chief selector).
