GOOD year for gambhir.the most improved batsmen in the indian team at the mo.but can he be consistent.can he play well good overseas, starting in new zealand, where it is bowler friendly??hopefully he has another good year in nz, as id be here supporting india, and hopefuly they will play a lot better than they did last time they came here, which was embarising to see india do so poorely..especially the batsmen, who just couldnt handle the bounce of the pitch.hope the TEAM wont relax just bcoz they had a good year, and play poorly when they start 2009,wich is what india normally does, play good for a bit, get all the fame, money, and 4get that they play cricket and not ADs on t.v

Ponting with two first ball ducks this series must welcome Gambhir who crossed 200 in Delhi
not every player can adapt to changes of climatic conditions, pitch or anything else he has not seen or been through his childhood or,should i say that not everyone is got gifted as sachin tendulkar to start intl career when only 16 and continuing till now
sourav ganguly in his 1st Test series in 1996 showed his calibure, but he failed in his 1st ODI in brisbane in AUS in 1992
rahul dravid failed in his 1st Test series in AUS in 1999-2000 piling up just 124 runs at a poor AVG of 18,but in 2003-2004 against AUS IN AUS he made 603 runs with 100plus AVG
many here expecting GAUTAM GAMBHIR OR YUVI to fail oversees, yes they may fail bcoz it is their 1st time in NZ but do we have any other player like Gautam to replace him in all forms of cricket(t20,odi and test) even if he fails but for yuvi we do have some lke rohit, manoj tiwari etc
Thoda waqt do yaar inhe settle down hone mein pehle se hi discourage karoge to kaise chalega

You are dead right! No double standards. Gambhir has proved it and only layman can still complain. After a long time we have found a solid opening-pair (probably for the first time) and only stupids will try to spoil or break this pair.

R u out of your mind????? The junior like Sehwag and Gambhir are performing well only because of the presence of these legends in the team. A team always needs a mixture of youth and experience for doing well in overseas. Vicky

And so here you are in true colour. Omitting Sir Sachin Tendulkar & Rahul Dravid & Laxman. And you need the worst, may you end soon.

Why do you write like a layman? Learn to be a little professional.

So you are professional writer, critic. First of that type in the world.
At least praise the Indian side when they are performing well, y do u criticize about a series that hasn't happened yet! Wait and watch.. Indian team is high with confidence. we will m/ the year 2009 also under the leadership of dhoni.

Well said! Few laymen can never digest Dhoni's success and they take every chance to criticize on useless issues. They are hellbent on individual-praising and I think it is better for them to follow individual-games like tennis, badminton, tt, etc and forget team-games like cricket.
If india wn the series in newzealand,i dont think we shud be jumping up and down wid joy,the new zealand team sucks right now, they huffed and puffed to just beat bangla...i think the real test for india right now is SA..It wud be awesome to have series against SA at this point of time...

People like you will not be happy at anything. You will only be happy if some individual makes record. Detractors like you can't stop team India's winning streak.

Then why did some people make a big issue when India performed poorly in the last NZ tour? Now suddenly NZ has become a waste team!
I have a feeling tht GG is gng to be big flop in new zealand.UI feel tht he does not have the technique to play in seaming condition like new zealand and neither does sehwag. Both are flat track bullies.

Mr Abhishek, I have a feeling that Sehwag and Gambhir both will score triple centuries......Dont laugh ..Since u have ur own feeling I too have mine...individually every one will have thier own feeling and opinions....okie....

Ok..I will keep my feelings to myself but i yhink that GG will not go beyond 100 in newzealand...he might scratch his way to a 50 at most....As far as sehwag is concerned,he is great player on flat tracks...but i am sure he is going to feel the heat in newzealand because of his technique(or the lack of it)

Only layman can comment like you did. Sehwag was the champion in last NZ tour. Gambhir is not a silly-player as you may think.

Then, do you have the technique to play in NZ? OR, will some superman can suddenly take birth in India to play in NZ? Stop commenting like a layman.
