Aussie arrogance
by Loveable on Jan 02, 2009 10:40 AM

There is no problem in losing to Australia or any other side, which plays better cricket. What is really disliked about the current Aussie team is their rude behaviour. You can't insult other players on grounds of sledging. If sledging leads to others being insulted, then the game does'nt require sledging. This is the only reason why the whole world is now feeling happy that the Aussie arrogance is being burst apart..!!

India will go Aussie way, if........
by Orient Mystique on Jan 02, 2009 10:38 AM  | Hide replies

....BCCI and selectors refuse to learn from the Aussie experience.

Yuvraj has been around for over 8 years before he could get into the test team, because the selectors chose to keep faith in the old guard.

Yuvi could get in only because Sourav retired. Players like Dravid and Tendulkar simply refuse to hang their boots and hence promising players like Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Shikar Dhawan and Virat Kohli have to wait endlessly without being given any international exposure.

May be after 12-28 months, the old guard will be forced by physical reasons or other circumstances to quit and if the selectors decide to blood youngsters wholesale at that time and God forbid if the likes of Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvi and Dhoni are not in their best of form at the same time (which could be nothing unusual since any player has his good times and bad times), the total team will be in a mess.

If BCCI / Selectors want to avoid such a catastrophe, then they will do well to rotate the seniors and juniors at every possible opportunity. In any future test match, only one out of the three (Laxman, Dravid and Sachin) should be allowed to play and two other youngsters out of the promising 4-5 players should be included without fail.

If this is done for the next couple of years, the shelf life of the seniors also can be prolonged and youngsters will get enough match situation experience.

In last tour we won 2 ODI's there. Yovi won one ODI out of these 2.
Secondly he is best batsman in current Indian side along with Sehwag against fast bowling.

Why Aussi is losing
by Vijay Singhal on Jan 02, 2009 10:32 AM  | Hide replies

.. Because their sledging is not now effective, as India and other countries have started replying them in the same language. Actually there is not much difference in the level of cricket top 3 countries play.

Warne is right here.........
by Anurag Rathore on Jan 02, 2009 10:18 AM

After Gilly, Macgrath, Warne, Langer, Martyn, Gillepie retirement Aus is not as strong as they were 1-2 years ago.
Ind and SA are challenging them.
The main difference between Ind and SA is India is playing aggressive cricket while SA is playing traditional cricket.
Aus will soon recover and will remain in top 3.

Loss to India SA
by manish rastogi on Jan 02, 2009 10:01 AM

Becoz India played cricket and Aussie continued playing Old sledging game rather than cricket. In the past They used to play good cricket with likes of steve waugh, Mcgrath and Warne along with Sledging. Now they focus only sledging with Hayden symonds and ricky. SA cash on the Indian destruction of aussies confidence.

Aussie No. 1 Credit to England
by manish rastogi on Jan 02, 2009 09:56 AM

For Much of Aussie success credit goes to england. As aussies plays maximum cricket against England which is a never a strong cricket side. Though Aussies have won against other teams still none of their players will make it tp record books without england. Remove england and even shane warne records will be not that good.
